I work with clients of all walks of life, though I specialize in sexual abuse and traumatic events. Healing is possible, and there is a light on the other side. While it may be difficult to trust, together we can work towards your goals and a life liberated from the pain of the past, where you can embrace the future. Something is not feeling right or going the way you would like it to in your life. I have been providing mental health and addiction treatment to individuals for 16 years. I specialize in co-occurring disorders ie. addiction and mental health conditions as well as the wide range of issues that tend to go along with addiction, such as but not limited to trauma, domestic violence and spirituality. Specific areas of focus are depression, anxiety, bi-polar, adjustment disorders, stress management, learning good self care, codependence and grief.

I have over thirty-five years of experience working with children and families as a Youth Minister, the last twelve years have been in community mental health. I am now trained and licensed to work with children as young as three and adults as old as ninety-two. Often using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), we focus on thinking patterns and how they affect behavior. My favorite part is mindfulness training and spirituality, discovering YOUR life purpose.

With over 25 years' experience working with clients across the lifespan and numerous social and cultural backgrounds, I aim to provide a safe space where clients can feel heard, understood, and most importantly, get answers. My focus of treatment is of CPTSD, or complex trauma, which is a condition brought on by chiildhood traumas that were ongoing and of multiple dimensions. With a combination of DBT skills, trauma work and lots of just listening, I can help you to free yourself from trauma-related beliefs and reactions that are holding you back from living a productive and satisfying life.

You have made a huge step. I know it’s hard. I’ve been there. As a result, I chose to help others as I was helped. I utilize multiple methods of therapy however always on identifying your strengths as well as your current issues. Remember, life is a journey and you have miles to go! Life's already hard enough, so connecting to a well rounded therapist shouldn't be one of them. I am a dual diagnosis therapist (mental health/addictions) who specializes in trauma-based treatments related to anxiety, PTSD, utilizing EMDR and other therapies. I find meeting my clients where they are, helps develop a collaborative approach to reaching maximum potential. My intention is for clients to feel safe and comfortable in an environment that fosters growth while respecting one’s autonomy. I'm currently accepting new patients who are looking to take a journey in discovering skills for better living and healing.

I have worked extensively with children and adolescent development, trauma and grief, pastoral care and spiritual abuse/recovery, women’s issues, gender transitioning, depression, anxiety, as well as major life transitions. I enjoy working with a diverse population and helping individuals find creative outlets that encourage confidence and empowerment within themselves.

I work with psychosocial issues such as substance abuse and mental health, homelessness, and help problem solve various individuals and families social issues to enhance quality of life.
