I hold a CRC and LPCC-S with a double masters from Bowling Green State University in Rehabilitation Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. I have over 15 years in the mental health field, and I am an independent Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - LPCC-S and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor -CRC. I am licensed in Ohio and Michigan and see individuals via teletherapy platform and offer flexible scheduling hours that work with your life, career and family time. I specialize in Trauma Therapy using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and CBT-TR ( Cognitive Behavior Therapy-Trauma Focused) therapy.

I have been providing mental health and addiction treatment to individuals for 16 years. I specialize in co-occurring disorders ie. addiction and mental health conditions as well as the wide range of issues that tend to go along with addiction, such as but not limited to trauma, domestic violence and spirituality. Specific areas of focus are depression, anxiety, bi-polar, adjustment disorders, stress management, learning good self care, codependence and grief.

With over 25 years' experience working with clients across the lifespan and numerous social and cultural backgrounds, I aim to provide a safe space where clients can feel heard, understood, and most importantly, get answers. My focus of treatment is of CPTSD, or complex trauma, which is a condition brought on by chiildhood traumas that were ongoing and of multiple dimensions. With a combination of DBT skills, trauma work and lots of just listening, I can help you to free yourself from trauma-related beliefs and reactions that are holding you back from living a productive and satisfying life.

I have a laid back personality with a good sense of humor that helps others feel comfortable opening up. I believe that your counseling experience should be tailored to you and your specific needs. I provide psychotherapy/counseling and clinical interventions for individuals, adults, adolescents children, families and groups. With more than 37 years of experience in providing assessment, and interventions for mental (behavioral) health and substance use related issues. I have also invested many years developing, applying, and perfecting psychotherapy techniques including but not limited to Existential Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, family systems Therapy.

My specialty is working with children and teens striving to manage a variety of issues in the areas of anxiety and depression. I also have a full staff at Perrysburg Counseling offering decades of experience with a variety of issues and populations. Issues include anxiety and depression, self-esteem, trauma, behavioral issues, grief and loss and self-harm and suicide. We work with populations that include children, teens, adults, the LGBTQ+ community, and couples. Our goal is to help you learn how to manage these challenges, overcome obstacles, and be successful in anything you choose to do.

I am a dual diagnosis therapist (mental health/addictions) who specializes in trauma-based treatments related to anxiety, PTSD, utilizing EMDR and other therapies. I find meeting my clients where they are, helps develop a collaborative approach to reaching maximum potential. My intention is for clients to feel safe and comfortable in an environment that fosters growth while respecting one’s autonomy.
