Taking a step towards mental wellness can be overwhelming, but I am here to walk you through the process. I provide a safe, and flexible environment for clients to explore their goals in life and I empower individuals to make a plan for healing. Each plan of care is created with an individually focused lens that allows clients to maintain control of their goals and action steps towards wellness. Although my approach is integrative and person-centered, I most often utilize CBT, mindfulness, supportive, strength-based and couples therapy techniques within my sessions.

I am a licensed social worker who has worked in a variety of settings to empower and support vulnerable populations. I trained in the neonatal intensive care unit of my local Level One trauma center in NEO helping parents navigate the care needs of their new child as well as their own physical and behavioral health needs. My training also includes working with patients at the Columbus Free Clinic, women in transitional supportive housing and survivors of domestic violence. I have extensive experience in helping guide individuals through complex social safety net programs and providing referrals to community support agencies.

I specialize in working with clients who struggle with addiction, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other mental health needs or concerns. I have extensive history working with women, students, and those with a dual diagnosis. I like to meet clients where they are at and treat them as the expert by using a holistic, trauma informed, and direct approach. I use an eclectic style in session, using therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Hello! My name is Diane Maytas, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation, EMDR Certified Therapist, Art Therapist, and Clinical Hypnotherapist. My approach is holistic, eclectic, and spiritualistic. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and phase of life issues.

My professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to providing compassionate support and understanding to individuals on their path to mental well-being. Within the realm of counseling, I specialize in various areas, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), LGBTQIA+ affirmative counseling, ADHD, substance abuse, personality disorders, grief, chronic illness, pregnancy, prenatal and postpartum care, sleep/insomnia management, trauma, and PTSD.

I have many years of experience working with early childhood trauma and severe, persistent mental illness, varying from ages of 5 years to 70+. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

As a therapist I always aim to provide a safe, caring, confidential space for people to come to share their struggles and goals. Juliane has a master’s degree from University of Kentucky and is a supervising licensed independent social worker with 25 years of experience. She has experience working with individuals, families and couples ranging from age 5 to 99 in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, homes, residential treatment facilities, outpatient community mental health and adolescent detention centers. Most recently Juliane has worked with people coping with major illness (particularly cancer).

Tessa Basco earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Akron in 2015. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 10 years of experience in the field. Tessa specializes in treating the lifespan and has experience with people of all ages; with a specific focus on treating adolescents and young adults.

I specialize in working with young adults and adults. I am passionate about working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, self-esteem/body image, and other mental health concerns. During my work with clients, I use a trauma-informed approach that is rooted in acceptance and meeting the client where they are at in the present moment. I believe in a collaborative method where I work side by side with my client to set goals for therapy and identify coping skills that draw from their own unique personal strengths.

Most of my clients are high-performers who are looking to reach their peak potential. Common reasons for seeking me out are: handling pressure, loss of confidence, returning from injury, and leadership development.

I recognize that we all face challenges in life and sometimes we need someone to walk with us in those challenges to provide support and ask questions that help us regain our power. While I have a particular love for working with teens, young adults, and couples, I have a great deal of experience working with children and families as well. I love to harness each client’s individual strengths and interests including music, spirituality, reading, creative writing, anime, and video games to help identify your values and goals.
