I work collaboratively with clients to gain a full understanding of current problems, how they may have developed, and ways to make meaningful changes both internally and in one’s relationships. This might include skills based techniques such as mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy, facing difficult emotions in a safe environment to gain a greater sense of control and acceptance around them, or understanding how past experiences may influence current emotional reactions.

I am a Doctor of Clinical Social Work with a degree from the University of Pennsylvania; a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from Syracuse University; a member of the National Association of Social Workers; an EMDR certified trauma treatment specialist; a professional actress, playwright, director, vocalist and member of Actor’s Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists; and a Christian, so I do my best to live a life of integrity, goodness, and service, without judgement. Over the past 24 years, I have worked with clients with a range of issues from depression and anxiety to stress and relationship changes. I'm a therapist+musician who loves working with people on their journeys to healthier relationships and becoming their authentic selves. I was raised fundamentalist and spent my childhood learning fire and brimstone theology and memorizing verses from the King James Bible. Needless to say I chose to leave the "sinners in the hands of an angry God" mentality behind when I grew up. The truth is, being hard on ourselves doesn't help us or anyone else. But compassion, love, acceptance and presence connect us to who we really are, and who we can become.
