Hello, I am excited to work with you and walk on your journey towards positive mental health. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Dakota and Licensed Independent Social Worker in Minnesota.

I have over 30 years experience providing counseling to individuals, families and couples with a variety of mental health issues. I specialize in helping families address issues that make it difficult for them to enjoy their relationships with each other. I have significant experience in helping people resolve trauma issues of abuse or grief, whether recent or past. My approach is supportive and solution focused.

My goal is to create a supportive environment where my clients can explore their emotional needs and overcome barriers that limit their full potential. I offer counseling sessions during daytime and evening hours for individuals and couples for topics of concern including Depression, Dual Diagnosis, Codependency, Anxiety/Stress, Communication issues, Trust issues, Loneliness, Emotional intimacy, Trauma/PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and Self-esteem issues. Hello! I have a passion for working with adults aged 18 and up. I have experience with working with a wide array of clients. I have a passion for working with individuals who have struggled with trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and impacted by substance abuse. I am currently trained in EMDR and beginning training with Somatic work to assist with body sensations associated with these struggles. I believe in meeting clients where they are at and working with clients at their pace.

I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma or verbal, emotional, physical or sexual abuse in their families or close relationships. Particularly when abuse happens earlier in life or over a long period, those suffering may develop various symptoms including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, self harm, substance use, and anger issues. I view symptoms as ways of coping that have helped you survive so far. We collaborate in therapy to help you find new ways to relate to yourself and others, and create a more meaningful and satisfying life, however that might look for you.

I offer outpatient therapy services for all ages to address a variety of areas including relational issues, depression, anxiety, family stress, divorce, parent/child conflict, self-esteem, sexual abuse, child abuse/neglect, and grief/loss. I serve individuals, couples, and families.

Katie works with a variety of mental health concerns while specializing in relational issues, identity exploration, body image concerns, and complex trauma/PTSD with an emphasis on domestic and sexual violence. She uses an array of evidence-based approaches including Relational-Cultural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and works with adults.

As a therapist, my goal is to empower others and utilize a strength-based, integrative approach to fit the needs of each individual client. One of my priorities in my practice is to provide a safe place for people to express themselves and be vulnerable in a non-judgmental environment. Previous experiences in my life have influenced my career path, which often gives me the ability to connect easily with others. I have an undergraduate degree in addiction studies from Minot State University and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Dakota.

Supporting clients in making progress toward their goals is one of my favorite aspects of my job. I enjoy working with people from a variety of backgrounds and hearing their unique stories. I've worked with individuals, couples, and families with high-risk issues, such as abuse, neglect, and suicide and those in the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience working with clients who have anxiety, depression, and those struggling through life transitions.

I have experience working with adults, couples, adolescents, and children. I also specialize in the areas of domestic violence, military, children and families, anxiety, and depression. I utilize a variety of techniques such as motivational interviewing, strengths based, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered approach.

Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North Dakota with over 5 years of experience. She is dedicated to creating a safe space to develop a secure and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Nicole is passionate about connecting with each of her clients to encourage personal growth and healing, new insights, and authentic living. She strives to provide courage and hope to her clients while helping them met their goals and create more meaning and fulfillment in their lives.

My goal as your counselor is to help form and maintain a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. It is important for my client's to know that their story matters and that I am here alongside them to help them heal and grow. I do this by using a number of evidenced based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, MI, RCT, and person-centered therapy. I also love to incorporate art into my therapy sessions. Lets get creative!

I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. I believe building relationships with clients is the most important piece of successful therapy. I love what I do because it allows me to walk next to people I would never have met had I chosen a different profession, as they work to make amazing life changes. I have the honor of meeting people at their worst, all while watching them grow into the people they’ve always wanted to be.
