I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) specializing in the treatment of trauma and addictions. I am passionate about walking clients through the healing journey, and believe that through facing our struggles we are able to find and embrace our unique strengths and purpose.

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

I love to help others. It has been my passion ever since I was a teenager. I want to be a positive support and teach others how to be the best version of themselves. It is so rewarding to be part of another person's journey and see them accomplish their goals. I also want to be the major point of support for someone that I wish I had and needed when I was younger.

I subscribe to Irving Yalom's "fellow travelers" philosophy of psychotherapy that seeks to eradicate the old hierarchy of "therapist" and "patient." I consider it a sacred honor to be walking alongside my clients on the road toward more healthy, passionate, fulfilling lives and, as such, find myself just as inspired through the process of therapy as they are.

Helene Steinhauer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2005. She received her MSW at Rutgers University. Helene has worked with patients with chronic medical conditions including kidney/pancreas transplant, cancer, and other diseases. She has helped patients deal with grief, anger, anxiety, and depression. Helene has also worked as a social work case manager assisting patients with community resources, financial assistance, transportation, their mental health issues offering support, empathy and guidance empowering them to help themselves.

I specialize in Trauma & PTSD, Domestic Violence, and Anxiety. My ideal client is ready to be open and accepting of the therapeutic process, committed to participating and collaborating. My ideal client is looking to either begin or continue their healing journey from the past to gain a more insightful and healthy perspective on life in the now and future.

Grace Ardila is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. Grace graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Valley Forge and then proceeded to Rutgers University where she graduated with her Master's in Clinical Social Work. Grace is fluent in English and Spanish which contributes to her being able to serve a diverse group of clients. Grace is a trauma-informed clinician who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy.

My ideal client is a young adult aged between 18-30. Their issues and needs may look like learning how to control anxiety symptoms, increasing emotion regulation and distress tolerance while improving mindfulness. This client is motivated and willing to work with the therapist to learn how to change their life to meet their goals.

An ideal client for a mental health professional would be an individual with a mental health disorder such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc., who demonstrates the motivation to change and improve their well-being. This client should be committed to attending therapy sessions regularly, keeping appointments, and actively engaging in the therapeutic process to manage or overcome their diagnosis.

Educational Background: I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Loyola University, New Orleans and my master's and doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Dallas, Texas. Throughout my graduate and undergraduate internships and practicums, I gained experience working with a variety of populations and ages, as well as varied settings. I have completed my internship in an inpatient psychiatric unit providing individual and group therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, personality disorders, and criminal backgrounds.

I am an LSW with years of experience treating teen/adolescents and their families. My areas of specialty and focus are depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, mood disorders, and trauma. The driving force behind my practice is to create a nurturing environment where kids can grow into healthy adults with learned coping skills and a better understanding of their own identity.

My ideal client is grappling with a multitude of challenges and seeking support in their therapeutic journey. This client's primary concerns revolve around the quest to discover their authentic self and cultivate a more positive outlook on life. A devoted parent they are navigating the complexities of raising a child diagnosed with autism, adding an extra layer of responsibility and emotional weight to their daily life. Central to the client's therapeutic goals is the desire to unearth the positive aspects of their life. They're eager to shift their focus from challenges to blessings, fostering resilience and a sense of gratitude.

A client who is continuously present physically and mentally for treatment is ideal. Despite setbacks and stressors, they still move forward, only taking a moment. Their issues can be environmental, situational, or psychological.
