Hi there! Welcome to my practice, SEED Services: Partners for Counseling & Wellness. We use evidence based approaches, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for couples counseling to name a few. Currently, most of my own work supports individuals who struggle with high levels of self-criticism, shame, and the patterns of avoidance or over-striving that are often associated with anxiety, depression, problem perfectionism, and trauma. We also specialize in couples counseling and working with relational grief, or losses due to life transitions and "post"-COVID living.

I have been in private practice for 25 years, treating adolescents and adults. I specialize in the treatment of sexual behavior problems, sexual abuse, sexual dysfunction, and sexual and chemical addiction. I use cognitive-behavior therapy and relapse prevention therapy to help people who suffer from addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Diane McMahon EdS, RN, LPC has been licensed in the healing arts since 1976. Through her years of continuing education and hands-on experience, she has successfully facilitated the ethical healing, empowerment and growth of clients of all ages. Diane spent 20 years working in the nursing field as a pediatric nurse, psychiatric nurse, and as a nursing educator. Since 2001, she has worked as a counselor primarily in schools and in community-based services providing Individual, Couple, Family and Group Counseling. New to her curriculum vitae is the addition of the EAGALA certification using horses as part of a therapeutic process for clients.
