Believing that you will never fit-in, never be enough, or that you are somehow broken, can leave you feeling helpless and depleted. It HURTS to feel that no matter what you do, you just can’t seem to hit the mark. You deserve to realize your worth. You are entitled to be yourself without apology. You are allowed to create your own path.

Hi there! Welcome to my practice, SEED Services: Partners for Counseling & Wellness. We use evidence based approaches, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for couples counseling to name a few. Currently, most of my own work supports individuals who struggle with high levels of self-criticism, shame, and the patterns of avoidance or over-striving that are often associated with anxiety, depression, problem perfectionism, and trauma. We also specialize in couples counseling and working with relational grief, or losses due to life transitions and "post"-COVID living.

Hello! My name is Angela, and I want to thank you for prioritizing your mental health and wellness. I enjoy working with people who need support in managing their anxiety and depression, healing trauma and relationship issues, and accepting themselves fully. We live in a world that constantly tells us we are not enough, and I understand how disheartening that can be. My power lies in my ability to listen to others with a non-judgmental ear as they discuss their struggles and hardships. It is rewarding to be able to serve others in this way.

A beautiful thing about our bodies is that our bodies can talk to us. Our bodies can provide us with data that can be beneficial to our mental and physical state of being. Breaking down and analyzing that data can be key to understanding what we might need to help ourselves. We can discuss trauma recovery, life transitions, relationship challenges (monogamy, polyamory, and open relationships), sex positivity, BDSM and kink, body image, anxiety, stress, depression, and self growth.

I know how severely these challenges can impact your life so I utilize evidenced based therapies like DBT, trauma/compassion focused therapies, EMDR and Brainspotting that provide the relief you need.
Simply being a woman can be stressful! Add in trauma with its intrusive thoughts, and intense emotions or anxiety or depression with its worry and regrets, and it feels like your spinning out of control, it's too much. Maybe you just had a baby and you should be happy but you're anything but. No-one gets you and the mommy guilt is agony. Possibly your birth experience was even frightening and you cant stop reliving it. Tackling treatment might feel scary, but know that I "get you". I listen and will be by your side, teaching you the skills to cope so you can live the life you want to live, present and at peace.

If you struggle with anxiety or depression, it's likely that you ruminate often, engage in self-criticism, and avoid activities you wish you could enjoy. I provide therapy that combines a warm, accepting style with counseling expertise. I am certified in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and integrate other approaches to match my client's needs. I will use my skills to help you change self-defeating thinking and behavior, manage difficult emotions, and deal more effectively with the obstacles that keep you from being your best self. Do you find that you're not happy, too stressed and overwhelmed or not living the life you had imagined for yourself? Are you repeating the same mistakes over and over again but don't know how to do things differently? Therapy helps because it's about breaking the patterns that aren't working for you. It's also about learning how to deal with people and situations differently.

Congratulations on taking the first step- it’s often the hardest! We all seek happiness, self-gratification and inner peace; and at times we all need support getting there. I have been practicing as a clinician in the field for over 15 years. I’ve built my career on developing mental health programs and providing clinical counseling for the most vulnerable youth and adults. I have worked in various professional settings helping clients with issues of trauma, stress, anxiety, loss, grief, chronic illness, and relationship and interpersonal issues. Additionally, I have a passion for working with LGBTQ youth and their families.
