I believe that addiction is not the problem, therefore, I approach addiction as a maladaptive solution to a problem. Dr. Randi Konikoff has a passion for helping clients to become students of themselves, thereby learning how to use their mind, body, and spirit in healthy and self-edifying ways. David Shein uses a collaborative and strengths-based approach with each of his clients. When developing a treatment plan, David believes in leveraging a client’s self-knowledge, and will always meet clients where they are emotionally, cognitively, and physically. David incorporates humor, music, literature, media, and sports in his therapeutic work, and integrates a variety of evidenced-based treatment interventions to address behavioral health issues, including: Motivational Interviewing; CBT; EMDR; Twelve-Step Facilitation Therapy; and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.

Life is not always easy. Sometimes life is challenging because of circumstances related to our actions; sometimes these challenges are a result of circumstances beyond our control. Regardless, these circumstances do not define us. It is, instead, our response to these circumstances that determines our course. My passion is working with individuals and families who are facing these storms. I love walking with my clients through these storms and into a bright new day. It is my hope that each of my clients will learn not just to weather and survive these storms but rather to conquer and overcome them.

I earned my graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Counseling with a concentration in addictions. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary in Urban Christian Ministries, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. Areas of treatment include anxiety, stress, addiction, depression, grief & loss, and life challenges. My treatment approaches are evidence-based and include Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Person-centered therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

My name is Sivan Levine and I have worked as a school counselor for the last five years. I have loved working with children from infancy through high school.
