*NEW OFFICE IN ST. PAUL'S W 7th DISTRICT AND ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS* Whether we felt “too much, too young”, “too much, too long”, or “too much, too fast”, it is possible to heal the physiological, psychological, spiritual, and relational challenges we face. The most important thing to know about traumatic stress is that it is the response to the event and not the event itself, and the response we can change no matter how much time between “then” and now! We can feel fully present, engaged, and connected to ourselves and those around us. I see, hear, and believe you.
I am a trauma-resolving, systems-oriented thinker who works with individuals, couples, and families of all ages and backgrounds who have experienced traumatic stress. In addition, my specialty as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor broadens my scope of practice to include behaviors that seem unstoppable and diminish quality of life.
As a person in long-term recovery I understand the internal challenges many experience when seeking aid with mental health as well as substance use. I do not accept insurance because I do not pathologize personal responses to life. Instead I use a process-based approach to work with you and for you - and I look forward to doing so.
