I work alongside those experiencing life transitions, identity concerns, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, ADHD, autism and religious trauma within both individual and sociocultural contexts. Sometimes what we need is to express ourselves in a compassionate, non-judgemental space to talk about and process lived experiences, as well as identify opportunities for change. In speaking about our concerns, rather than keeping them to ourselves, we can slow down and re-examine our lives. Examples of goals for therapy can include increased self-awareness, acceptance and learning new ways of coping.

My overall philosophy as a counseling psychologist is that although therapy can be hard work, it should also be easy to get into, easy to get out of, and easy to return to when needed. I am a generalist with a focus on working with women, LGBTQ individuals and couples, developing professionals, and clinicians. My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, and I incorporate a variety of treatment methods as appropriate, including process-experiential, narrative, and solution-focused strategies. I strive to create an environment where people feel supported and challenged to explore fears, discover strengths, and achieve goals.

I've helped many clients work through difficult challenges they're facing and would like to help you too. I have a very straight forward, assertive and somewhat irreverent communication style. We work hard, bravely dig as deep as we need to and have some belly laughs along the way. My clients appreciate how real and raw it can get, they feel free to share the good, bad and the ugly.
