I've completed all 3 levels of Gottman Method Couples Therapy training, Treating Affairs & Trauma, Couples and Addiction Recovery, CBT for Insomnia, and am enrolled in Sex Therapy Certification through SHA. I also enjoy working with people in poly and ethically non-monogamous relationships and individuals in the kink community.

I'm an empathetic and compassionate therapist who helps women and men who have experienced infidelity, suffered from trauma, or are struggling to cope with life's changes. I have gone through similar experiences myself, so I understand the challenges my clients face. My goal is to help you find your inner strength and provide the guidance you need to overcome these obstacles.

I have worked with many individuals, and couples over the past 34 years to help navigate the "ups and downs" of life and relationships. I work with couples who want to improve communication skills, conflict resolution, parenting, recovery from addiction or infidelity, and more. I work with individuals who want to improve self esteem, reduce negative self talk, improve work/career and love and life choices. I began my career in the substance abuse field. I find it an honor to journey with someone as they seek personal growth, healing in relationships and peace with their life choices.

I enjoy helping people overcome the sexual and emotional hurdles that hold them back -- sex addiction, porn/fantasy addiction, infidelity/betrayal, body image issues, sexual abuse, spiritual guilt, low self-esteem, lack of sexual confidence, family of origin issues, trust issues, etc. I believe EVERYONE deserves to be a sexually connected, sexually satisfied partner. Healthy sexual relationships can heal a multitude of wounds and bond a couple together in an incredibly synergistic way if they are both willing to do the work to overcome their own fears, anxieties, hurts, and hang-ups.

I specialize in couples, working with those experiencing conflict, conflict-avoidance, infidelity/trust issues, communication problems, parenting/co-parenting struggles, and or when one or both partners experience depression, anxiety, or trauma. Relationships are the most important things in our lives, and when we get disconnected, everything in life can feel so much harder. I also see individuals who are struggling with self-worth issues, excessive worry, past history of trauma. Therapy can do a world of good, especially when life has been painful. My specialty is couples and families. I mostly work with partners who are struggling with communication issues, infidelity, trust, and conflict. I often work with families who are struggling with boundaries and family arguments, as well as issues stemming from a new marriage with children from previous relationships.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Kansas and Missouri and have been practicing for 20+ years in a variety of settings which include Community Mental Health, Private Practice and The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). I welcome teens, adults, and seniors for therapy and work with each individual on their own unique reasons for being in services. I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach to my work and see the therapeutic relationship as a partnership. I will work to improve the well being of individuals and families by providing compassionate and comprehensive behavioral healthcare.
