I’ve successfully assisted Caucasian men and woman, African American men and women, Latino, LBGT, and individuals going through life transitions, empty nesters and college students aged 18-24.
Hi there, How could I be of service to you? Throughout my many lessons taught and learned, I’ve realized that life is a school and earth is a classroom of many lessons. I’ve learned to cooperate with the ebb and flow of life and to co-create with the universe. It is my intention to align with other souls who are in a place within their life in which they aspire to grow and expand within. It's time to make the necessary changes in your life now. Reach out, I promise, you are safe hands...

Whether it be past trauma, relationship concerns, depression or addiction, you can trust that together we will come up with a solution and tools to help cope with your needs. I strive to end the stigma surrounding therapy and mental illness in the African American culture and other communities in which it is taboo. I believe that therapy can be necessary for all of us at different times of our lives, but that it can be fun, comfortable and enjoyable.

Are you tired of caretaking for everyone and feeling like no one cares for you? Do you struggle to give yourself the same kindness & compassion that you so easily give to others? Does guilt get in the way of you saying no and setting boundaries? Most of my clients are impacted by these issues and feel helpless in living an abundant life of self-love. My expertise is working with people to find healing and restoration through empowerment, developing insight, and working with the body. I understand how power, oppression, and trauma can contribute to distress and I work to instill hope.

Although we see clients from all walks of life, we specialize in working with members of marginalized communities, including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) who need a brave space that centers and validates your lived experiences.
Today’s societal ills are likely having a significant impact on the quality of your life and may feel like a threat to your sense of wholeness and inherent worth. Death of loved ones, remote work and social distancing may be causing you to feel isolated and alone. These and other factors such as the effects of a global health pandemic, social injustices, gender inequality, immigration issues, food insecurity, wage disparities, racial violence, healthcare inequities and anti-LGBTQ+ rights have contributed to chronic stress, intimate partner violence, relationship difficulties, suicidal thoughts, substance use, and hopelessness.

If you are searching for a therapist with years of professional experience, that understands specific cultural nuances in the African-American community and who will be your advocate- while also holding you accountable for your own healing and work-then I may be the one for you.
I am currently not accepting insurance of any kind. I specifically work with women who have experienced domestic violence, sexual abuse/assault, natural disasters, loss of any kind and/or who have been negatively impacted by COVIC-19. I am a good listener and empathetic provider. Clients who want to develop a sense of purpose and are willing to take full control of their lives and decision making would fair well with my brief but impactful interventions. Clients can benefit from 4-12 problem focused sessions. We will concentrate on empowerment and getting to the "root" of the issues at hand in order to positively change behavior.

Teletherapy
Teletherapy and Online counseling have grown enormously as a medium for therapy since the advent of social distancing. Most therapists are happy to provide sessions by video or phone.

All professionals are licensed to provide video therapy to clients within the State in which they hold their license. Cross State licensing exists, but is rare.

So if you're a client in Michigan, this list of teletherapists are licensed to provide therapy to you online (by phone, video or text based chat) because they are within your state. They are sorted nearest to furthest, with professionals in Michigan listed first.

Teletherapy via phone or video can be very similar to conventional in person sessions. The message is the same, even if the medium is different. There are some advantages in the form of convenience, lack of travel and being in comfort of your own home. Set against those, professionals find it more difficult to read non-verbal signals of their clients, and you may find you yourself can be more easily distracted.
