Hi, I'm glad you're here. Beginning therapy can be a bit overwhelming and I'm here to help you figure out whether I can create a safe space for you to begin the process. I know having the "right fit" is important because feeling comfortable with your therapist is essential. My extensive experience in Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Crisis Intervention allows me the ability to assist you in your growth, healing and change process. I have worked in a wide range of settings since 2006 from inpatient and residential treatment to outpatient MAT (medication assisted treatment). My additional credentials involve Addiction.

I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist specializing in EMDR Therapy.  I use EMDR to treat the impacts of traumatic events, PTSD, grief, anger, and addictions including substance and sexual addictions. I primarily work with Veterans and First Responders, and individuals on the front lines of taking care of others. When you face the dangers of the world head-on on a daily basis, asking for help may feel counterintuitive. At the same time, avoiding problems, thinking they will get better on their own, or denial of their existance (despite the evidence) is a guaranteed path to less-than-ideal outcomes.

KCC clinicians specialize in trauma and work from a trauma-informed platform. What this means is that we treat various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance use from the idea that trauma has affected the individual’s overall mental health. We also treat Dissociative Disorders, are rainbow allies and seek to provide a nurturing, empathetic environment for our clients. Elizabeth has spent the last 7 years working with individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, including those residing in transitional living.
