KCC clinicians specialize in trauma and work from a trauma-informed platform. What this means is that we treat various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance use from the idea that trauma has affected the individual’s overall mental health. We also treat Dissociative Disorders, are rainbow allies and seek to provide a nurturing, empathetic environment for our clients. Edward has counseled clients for 32 years as a Therapist, Sports Psychology Consultant (coaches/athletes), and Life Balance/Career Coach. He gladly sees people from all faiths and walks of life and provides wisdom for anyone who seeks it: individuals, families, youth, couples, parents, pastors, professionals, athletes, coaches, and performing artists.

I really enjoy working with individuals and families on issues involving stress and anxiety (Panic Disorder, OCD, Generalized Anxiety, Agoraphobia, etc.), folks dealing with issues related to the Autistic Spectrum, people dealing with adjustments to chronic health issues and their impacts, and relationship concerns ranging from parenting and romantic relationships to family dynamics and interacting with adult children.

I want to help clients whom are receptive to growth. My hope is to create mutual respect with clients and provide a safe time and space for clients to effectively evaluate issues. My approach to therapy is based on the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy perspective, which focuses on the automatic thoughts one is having about oneself, others, or the world while addressing unwanted behavior patterns. I will facilitate conversation to work alongside you in your therapeutic journey, and I use reframing of negative thoughts, homework assignments, and genuine empathy. I earned a Master's of Social Work and a Bachelor's of Social Work from Wayne State University. I hold a limited license in social work and will be fully licensed in a couple of years.

Mental health is just as important as physical health to our overall well-being. I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist and a certified trauma specialist as well as a marriage counselor. I can work with you to develop a wide variety of coping skills to help you work towards your goals of living your best life. I utilize a humanistic, holistic, strength-based approach to help increase your level of tolerance for dealing with these complicated mental health symptoms. I also offer EMDR for the treatment of complex PTSD.

I am Diana. My motivation in pursuing a career as a clinical therapist is to help others grow a deeper understanding of themselves. I've worked in the mental health field since 2014. Graduated from Wayne State University in 2018 with a Master of Social Work degree and received a graduate certificate in alcohol and drug abuse studies. Working as a clinical therapist since 2018 within outpatient community mental health, a residential treatment center, and currently at a group practice has shown that empathizing with individuals' needs allows me to help passionately achieve their mental health goals.
