I specialize in working with: Trauma, PTSD, Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Body Image, Perfectionism, low self-esteem, sexual abuse and ADHD. I utilize EMDR, DBT, CBT, self-compassion, mindfulness, and somatic therapies. For over a decade, I have been honored to play a role in my clients’ healing journey. I provide individual counseling services to individuals ages 25 and over. I practice through a trauma-informed, holistic, neuroscience lens, helping you to put words to what you are experiencing and learn how to understand the sensations you feel in your body, your emotions, and your thoughts.

I think all of us could use a little help at one time or another. Difficult situations can get the better of us, and we need someone to help us remember who we are, figure out our options, develop new skills, and make changes that support our growth. With over 11 years as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Guelker has experience with a variety of presenting concerns including mood (depression, anger, etc.), anxiety, trauma/PTSD, personality disorders, severe psychopathology, relationship/family concerns, parenting issues, academic problems, military issues, men’s issues, and general transitional/adjustment stress. Dr. Guelker additionally provides psychological assessments for both clinical and forensic purposes. I am a Licensed Clinical Specialist Social Worker and Sex Therapist currently achieving a discipline towards a PHD in Clinical Sexology. I work with individuals and families. I am eclectically trained in areas of marriage/couples counseling, family structured therapy, behavior management/modification therapy, forensic social work, motivational interviewing, narrative approach, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, comorbidity diagnosis and solution focused therapy.

Not all clients arrive to therapy with the same issues or the same rooting point, so therapy needs to be unique to each individual. I provide a space to establish how clients see therapy happening and I am there to help guide the process in a healthy manner. The space belongs to the client, not me.

Trauma is common and over half of all people will have experienced at least one traumatic event in their lifetime. It does not have to continue to disrupt life. My mission is to help people find their power again and move past their trauma so they can live their best life in accordance with their values and goals and fully live and enjoy their lives. I use trauma informed care first and foremost along with a blend of other modalities in order to help clients find their own strength in managing their symptoms, learning self-compassion, and regaining their internal locus of control.

I specialize in working with children ages 11 and younger, personalizing treatment to each child's unique needs. When treating a child, I always work with parents or guardians, as well, as this is the most effective way to help your child.

She specializes in Substance Abuse and Behavioral Addictions, and Cooccurring disorders. She is also the founder of Healthy Recovery Options- a State Licensed Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment Facility-which provides Drug and Alcohol Evaluations, DUI classes, Domestic Violence Evaluations, Batterers Intervention Program, all Other Assessments, and Individual, Couples, and Group Psychotherapy. Her international work experiences help her to work with a cultural diverse population 18 years and older.
