Most clients who come to see me work on problems related to relationships, emotion regulation, concern about behaviors that may be addictive, recovery issues, life and career decisions, and creating and maintaining balance in everyday life. I also offer a variety of testing, evaluation, and forensic services.

I am here to be a compassionate, non-judgmental witness to any human that needs one. I believe a strong, collaborative relationship between client and therapist is important to helping you grow and heal. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR trained. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults, with an emphasis on trauma-work and sexual assault. I have experience working with couples, families, and individuals. I use play therapy, Theraplay(tm), and Whole Brain Child interventions to reach kids and teens. I enjoy working with adults on determining what career path to take, how to adjust to college/full time employment, mid-life career issues, and stress management/mindfulness skills. Issues from Anxiety, ASD, and Depression often pop up at this time of life. I am here to help them navigate!

I approach therapy from a holistic, client-centered, strengths-based approach. I utilize the cognitive behavioral, and acceptance and commitment therapy models to help clients make sense of the past and build new resources to take ownership of the future. In addition, I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to aid clients in connecting to their internal world and recognizing their thoughts and behaviors without judgment, so they can live a more fulfilling life. I am also trained and informed in positive psychotherapy and solution-focused therapy approaches.
