My education includes a PhD in Religious Philosophy, a Master of Divinity, and Master of Science in Psychology, and I am working on a PhD in Psychology. Although my schooling may sound impressive, I credit most of my ability in working the field is due to my upbringing and a legitimate concern for people. I'm availaable at Anam Cara Counseling and horse farm in the peaceful countryside of Rolling Prairie/La Porte. I provide traditional talk therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and/or Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. This is a powerful and highly effective form of therapy where you will interact with horses for personal insight and behavior change. There is no riding involved; and no horse experience is needed.

DePoy is a board-certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor from Huntington, Indiana who works with all ages and genders as well as specializes in substance use and court-ordered treatment. Mr. DePoy has extensive experience with substance use disorders, youth autism, and DCS reunification goals. Chris’ treatment approach comes from a Rogerian perspective in that patients are their own experts and will identify areas they need help with.
