I am currently not taking clients after 2:30pm. I have been working with individuals, couples, children and families as a therapist since 2002. With a welcoming approach, I am able to offer fresh insights that can improve your relationships and behavior. I am able to help identify patterns, generate solutions, and minimize shame.

We are accepting new clients and have in-person and remote availability. Whether you, or a loved one, are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues or just need a place to talk, Pillars' holistic approach to health and wellness has a treatment option that can work for you. When we started Pillars we quickly realized that to best help our clients we needed to partner with clinicians with diverse backgrounds and skills. We have remained steadfast in our efforts to create a team of clinicians with a varied specializations, so that we can be sure to effectively serve our clients and our community.

Audrey Goddard is licensed in the state of Indiana as a Mental Health Counselor and has over 7 years of experience. She enjoys working with a variety of clients who have varying needs.

Kristina Turner is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has 11 years of experience in the mental health field. Kristina has worked in a variety of clinical settings including state hospitals treating chronic mental illnesses. She has experience in clinical outpatient settings focusing on the treatment of personality disorders and mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, as well as trauma. Kristina’s most recent experience is in helping others overcome addiction through medical detox, rehabilitation, and recovery-based group therapy.

There is no such thing as an ideal client. That is too boring. The way I do therapy is relaxed. I am not your average therapist, and I am not going to be like, "How does that make you feel?" but I am going to say, "What up! How are we doing today?" I never stop learning, and when you have me as a therapist, you will see that you will fall back in love with learning. Overall, I am just honored you allowed me to help you! Let me introduce myself. I am Jeannette Murphy. I bring to you more than thirty years of counseling experience with the treatment of Individuals, Couples,Children and Families, both individually and in groups. My counseling is designed to help you with a wide variety of personal, marital and family issues. I specialize using Brief Solution-Based Treatment. This treatment method is effective whether you come alone or with other family members.

As an experienced Licensed Social Worker, I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds. I believe my role as a clinician is to assist others in taking control of their circumstances to achieve their own goals, thereby helping themselves and others to maximize the quality of their lives. My educational background assumes a developmental approach which explains growth, change, and consistency though the lifespan in biological, social, emotion, and cognitive areas. Developmental psychology looks at how thinking, feeling, and behavior effect one’s health and perspective.

Awakenings Counseling Center offers a wide range of mental health and addiction treatment services. Awakenings has provided services throughout the Northwest Indiana Region for 25+ years. Awakenings works directly with Lake County and Porter County Drug Court as well as Lake County Community Corrections Work Release Program. Our goal at Awakenings is to be able to provide you with the tools needed to be the best version of yourself for you and those around you. You deserve to live a healthy and productive life.
