I love working with clients across the lifespan. I see children as young as elementary school and work with clients/families up into the time of death. I have provided many of these services in-person in a hospital or home care setting while working 9 years in hospice and in oncology programs. Supporting folks during their grief is my specialty, whether due to changes in the life cycle, chronic illness, and terminality. I also personally am a guardian and caregiver for my parent who lives with Bipolar Disorder and advanced Alzheimer's Disease, so I bring several years of personal advocacy and practice experience based on this role.

Neuropsychologist: I am a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Indiana and Illinois. I have specialized training in clinical Neuropsychology from Fielding Graduate University. My work at Northwestern University and University of California at Davis has been with patients with Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease and Alzheimer's disease. My clinic provides comprehensive services to children and adult with ADD, Learning disabilities, and Autism at five locations in Northwest Indiana and Illinois.. .

I enjoy working with adults from all backgrounds for a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, and testing services. I have great passion for working with the geriatric population. My goal is to keep individuals as independent as possible for as long as possible. Additionally, I am a US Army combat veteran and enjoy working with military and first responders. I enjoy helping caregivers and loved ones best handle behaviors that often accompany dementia, as well as end of life issues and concerns. I provide C&P examinations for veterans in process of appealing the VA.

My name is Samantha Wright-Cooksey, MSW, LCSW. I have been a therapist for over 20 years with combined experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
