I am a licensed Counseling Psychologist specializing in the treatment and prevention of eating disorders, addictions and co-morbid conditions with over 17 years experience. I bring a compassionate and warm energy to my clients. I offer individual, couples and family therapy for people ages 17 and above. I work with clients to improve self-worth, identify barriers to progress, reduce shame and develop powerful strategies to begin and maintain their objectives. My counseling approach is to listen nonjudgementally, providing guidance and feedback by helping clients create effective and personalized solutions to their treatment needs.

Human connection is a necessity. Yet, why do the ones we love the most seem to hurt us in the worst ways? If only they would listen, be understanding and meet our needs. Love should be easy, yes? I have a family-centered approach, meaning I aim to include families in sessions with their children and/or teenagers as much as possible. I focus on many issues affecting the well-being of my clients including substance abuse and addiction, psychological and emotional issues, social and family relationships, personal and professional goals, wellness, spirituality, and coping with trauma and life stressors. I am here to help and I am here to listen. Though I can assist you with a number of issues, my specialty is in the treatment of addiction and problem gambling. I'm no stranger to addiction or recovery. I am a person in long-term recovery, the child of an alcoholic, teach addiction courses at local universities, and have been treating addiction for over 20 years.

I offer therapeutic services for clients of all ages. The ideal client is someone who is open to the process and has the desire to live a happy and healthy life. I have spent the last few years of my career working closely with young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma. I also work with those struggling with addictions. I take a holistic approach with dealing with addictions. Treating all the issues that have lead to the use of substance. My typical client starts therapy seeking help to resolve issues that have lead to problems with school, work and/or relationships. I use several different modes of therapy to help them reach their goals such as motivational interviewing, supportive reflection, dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I am the owner of a private practice, Meaningful Transitions Counseling, located in Fishers, Indiana. I am a license therapist who works with children, adolescents, and young adults. Office hours include evenings and some weekends. I graduated from Indiana University with a Master's in Social Work in 2008. I received my License in Clinical Social Work in 2010.

I am a reunification therapist, mediator, and custody evaluator. I am contracted with the Lotus Group to provide these services to children, adolescents and adults; as well as their families. My practice in regards to children has consisted of, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, grief/loss, adjusting to divorce/blended families, etc., as well as, behavior issues in the home as well as school setting. I also work with adolescents and adults struggling with similar issues as well as addictions and eating disorders.

I have over 25 years of clinical experience and specialize in treating women's issues, such as: post-partum depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship and career issues. My experience as a childbirth educator has enhanced my ability to treat the needs of post-partum women as they transition into motherhood. This journey is one that is often met with unexpected emotions and I help women identify these feelings so they can resolves issues that may complicate parenthood. I recognize the impact of pregnancy loss as well, and help my clients process through this very unique kind of grief.

In my practice, I provide mental health therapy for individuals and families with specialty in trauma/complex trauma, attachment, grief/loss and adoption. I value coming alongside clients by providing support and empathy while also equipping them with tools for healing and success. I tailor therapy sessions to meet the needs of each individual and family, with a holistic perspective. I believe the client/therapist relationship is foundational to the healing process and while I am trained in advanced modalities; this connection remains a priority in my practice as a facilitator of change.
