It is my goal to provide you with a safe, therapeutic space to unload and explore your needs, worries, and fears whatever they may be. The path to healing is unique for each of us. We will work collaboratively towards meeting your goals and needs, and in doing so, make your life more comfortable and satisfying. It is my hope that each person who meets with me feels accepted, as I respect each individual's culture, gender, race, religion, and sexual identity.

As a therapist, I aim to meet my clients where they are and provide guidance and skill development that allows them to meet their goals. I work with substance use, addiction, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief and loss, suicidality, and expected and unexpected life changes. I am here to listen and support you if you need to find hope or are struggling with life's challenges.

As a member of the LGBTQ community, I understand how important it is to find a therapist with whom one can identify and feel comfortable sharing the very personal reasons that bring individuals to counseling. As such, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space in which to explore the needs of my clients. For me, finding meaning and purpose is paramount to maintaining one's mental health. As such I work in collaboration with my clients to help find those things that make one feel whole and connected.

As an AASECT-certified sex therapist, I work with individuals and couples facing challenges regarding differences in sex drive, sexual pain & dysfunctions such as ED and vaginismus, issues with orgasm, and other issues related to intimacy and performance. While anxiety is not always the cause of these challenges, anxiety is certainly part and parcel of how they manifest. Therapy is geared towards optimizing mental and physical health, managing anxiety through lifestyle changes, improving communication with loved ones, and reaching for better quality of life, which frequently includes: better sex!

I enjoy supporting and empowering my clients to look within to gain more self-awareness, self-love, and self-acceptance. Art therapy, dance/movement therapy, guided imagery, meditation, journaling, and role-play are some of the tools used for this journey. The arts are excellent outlets to cope with stress and therapeutic tools that get below the surface to the heart of the matter. Not everyone’s first language is verbal and the arts can help us speak. Welcome! We provide traditional and holistic healing for mind, body & spirit health. We work with individuals, couples, families & groups age 5 and up. The facility is located on a main street with free parking. This is a private practice with a private waiting room in a very comfortable & soothing setting. Look for the yellow house with raspberry trim. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. When you call, we will do a brief intake, verify your insurance benefits & schedule your first appointment. We do not have a waiting list and can schedule your first appointment within the same week.

Welcome! I am a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Counselor with over 17 years of experience. Currently, my main focus is providing therapy to young adults and adults, for a wide range of concerns including, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, anger, domestic violence, and parenting. My role as a therapist is to understand you as an individual, listen, provide a non-judgmental safe space, guide, advocate, advice, and educate those in need as they find their voices and healthier lifestyles, meeting them where they are at – believing that clients are the experts of their lives.

I provide a judgement free place to find your way & figure it out. Commitment to my clients begins with a belief in the ability of individuals to advocate for themselves & choose their own path. You decide how you want to live your life. Our instincts, emotions & feelings are a gift; they are the natural barometer for navigating our lives. I have extensive experience working with children (ages 3-17), families and adults.

My therapeutic philosophy incorporates Adlerian ideals, which focus on acceptance of our humanity and encouragement of the greatest potential within ourselves. Using empathy and validation, I will listen to your life story to better understand your worldview and unique experiences that led you to counseling. I also use Rogerian theory to prioritize unconditional positive regard, authenticity, and empathy to build a therapeutic relationship. This approach helps foster a safe space to make changes you want to address towards a life that is more congruent with values and goals.

Nicholas Barry is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2017. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry, double majoring in Pastoral Counseling and Biblical Studies, at Urshan College. After completing his undergraduate studies, Nicholas embarked on a bi-vocational journey through graduate school. He has earned a Master of Social Work through Florida State University and is completing a Master of Theological Studies at Urshan Graduate School of Theology. Nicholas takes a truly holistic approach to working with his clients. This means that he takes a bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessment.

Cory Dolley is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2019. Cory just wants to be able to help give people a fighting chance to have a healthy, happy, productive life. Perhaps you are someone in your late 20's to 60's and are not used to asking for help because you were taught early never to show vulnerability. Perhaps you are dealing with unacknowledged trauma from years ago that was never seriously addressed. All you know is that you are in pain, and that pain is affecting all your other relationships, making it harder to reach out to others, hard to trust anyone.

Penny McGrath LCPC LLC is a Chicagoland-based counseling services center that works with child, adolescent, and adult individuals using a mindfulness based approach that aligns with neuroscientific principles.

I am an LCSW and have been working in healthcare/mental health since 2009. I earned my MSW from The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I pride myself in providing an environment that helps to diminish stigma and normalize mental health. I feel that it is a privilege to work in this field and to be allowed into the lives of others. I have experience working in outpatient, inpatient, special education, residential treatment, substance abuse and domestic violence. With my personal experience in mental health and professional training I feel I am able to help you on your path to healing.
