Many parents feel helpless when their kids are acting out of control or regressing in their development. And, an increasing number of kids are struggling with their mental health and parents feel frustrated because they don’t always know how to help. But it doesn't have to stay that way. I provide transformative child counseling so kids can find relief from mental struggles and I work to equip parents with tools to make meaningful connections with the kiddos for a lifetime.

I am passionate about working with children & adolescents managing anxiety & depression; adults who are stressed or who have experienced trauma; OCD and ERP; and working with individuals or those involved in improving their relationships (couples or polycule therapy). I am proud to be an affirming clinician, supporting clients who identify as LGBTQIA+ & those from marginalized backgrounds. Working closely with parents as individuals or as part of a family system is also a specialty of mine. I understand the stress, pressure, love, & energy ever-present in parenting, & strive to help folx find methods, support, & balance.

Rebecca Davis is a licensed professional counselor who earned her master's degree in Counseling from Eastern Illinois University and master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindenwood University. She was inspired to become a therapist during high school, where she found her passion for relating to and helping others while volunteering on the teen staff for the Operation Snowball and ITI (Illinois Teenage Institute) programs to help work with other teens. Over 25 years of counseling experience working in school settings, where she provided individual, group, and family therapy to children

Velma is licensed social worker who holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Velma has experience in providing clinical recommendations to both state courts and private agencies for children and families in the Illinois child welfare system. She is described as authentic, funny and kind and hopes to assist people on their path toward being a better version of themselves. She strives to offer guests hope with a different perspective, using both humor and silence. She is solutions oriented while believing that all guests come with their own processes.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for over forty years of which twenty-one years have included working as an Animal-Assisted therapist in counseling (equines, dogs, cats, pigs, ducks, donkeys, and a lamb). My expertise ranges from counseling individuals, children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and organizations with various issues, including anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and so forth. I practice from a strengths-based theoretical orientation. My goal is always to help clients recognize and utilize internal strengths for growth and change.

The facility is located on a main street with free parking. This is a private practice with a private waiting room in a very comfortable & soothing setting. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. When you call, we will do a brief intake, verify your insurance benefits & schedule your first appointment. We do not have a waiting list and can schedule your first appointment within the same week.

It is no secret that mental distress can be a devastating roadblock in life. For 20 years I specialized in divorce issues, both in families with high amounts of conflict and custody disagreements and provide support during this difficult transition. In addition, I have a strong background in Attachment, and I specialize in Attachment issues in children and adults and address the various challenges clients face in their current relationships. I use EMDR when appropriate and myriad Neuropsychological interventions.

As a mental health professional with 17 years of experience, I have dedicated my life to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families overcome obstacles they face in life. Depression, anxiety (and all the features associated with these two diagnostics), as well as relational and other life issues, are areas that I service.

I provide psychological therapy which focuses on the way that people think and behave. My practice specializes in working with children/adolescents and college/post-college adults who have problems adapting to their current life circumstances. Each person brings into treatment all their experiences, both joyous and problematic, which provides a base for the development of individualized goals and objectives.
