The foundation of my work with clients is based on the belief that "it's the relationship that heals." Relationships are vital to our emotional and psychological growth and how we take care of them is important. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and empathic place to discuss those situations that matter to you most. I lean toward a relational, psychodynamic, and spiritual approach to the therapeutic process and provide a place to process the meaning of your experiences and help you reconstruct them to reduce barriers to your emotional health.

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified Addictions Counselor, Dr. Touwanna Edwards specializes in family-based interventions for adults, couples therapy, issues of diversity, and addictions. Her practice includes treating anxiety, depression, grief, personality disorders, codependency traits, self-esteem, transitional stages in life, addiction maintenance, and recovery. Additionally, she is an alumna of the Chicago area Christian Training Consortium where she received specialized clinical training in the integration of faith-based practice and psychology.

Nicholas Barry is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2017. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry, double majoring in Pastoral Counseling and Biblical Studies, at Urshan College. After completing his undergraduate studies, Nicholas embarked on a bi-vocational journey through graduate school. He has earned a Master of Social Work through Florida State University and is completing a Master of Theological Studies at Urshan Graduate School of Theology. Nicholas takes a truly holistic approach to working with his clients. This means that he takes a bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessment.

As both a Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Life Coach, I love to help people achieve personal and relational growth and healing. I seek to identify people's strengths and affirm who they are in order to empower them toward the changes they desire to make. Hello! I’m Dr. Kala Taylor ,(She), I currently work private practice with (The Psychology Center) in Chicago. Previously I worked psychotherapy in the State Government Correctional setting under the exempt licensure title Clinical Psychologist/Sr Psych. Inmates under my care have described my therapeutic approach as "nonjudgmental" and "compassionate." My personal experiences have led me to cultivate a deep empathy for all beings. and I’m committed to being (not just inclusive but) welcoming towards “others.” My experience working in mental health has led me to focus on working to help individuals with personal challenges.

Currently sessions are conducted virtually- Dr. Waseberg is a psychotherapist and professor of counseling psychology. Clayton Crozier is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. He is a graduate of the Eastern Illinois University Clinical Psychology Master's program and has experience working with a variety of populations including individuals spanning from adolescent to geriatric, substance use disorders, college students, couples, families, and older adults with severe mental health struggles. Clayton has worked in a variety of environments including private practice, adult inpatient substance use treatment, university counseling, and in group home settings.

I have accumulated over 20 years of experience providing individual counseling, family therapy, and marital counseling to adolescents and all adults dealing with variety of issues and concerns. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with my master's degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.

Mark Branson is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois. He has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Iowa and an MSW from Aurora University. Mark offers a person-centered approach that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to help people who experience challenges ranging from anxiety to depression to daily stressors that are interfering with their happiness and the actualization of their potential. Mark utilizes a variety of modalities to help people struggling with a great number of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and addictions.

As founder of Barrington Behavioral Health & Wellness, she has created a "home" for people where growth and healing are possible. Her own journey has taught her as much as the diplomas on her wall and the credentials behind her name. She was on staff at Lutheran General Hospital and taught at Northeastern IL University. She is trained as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a Certified Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor, is versed in Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Kristen Melchiori has a wealth of experience working with clients in a variety of levels of care. Having worked in foster care, therapeutic day school, substance abuse residential, and community mental health, she is able to help clients navigate complex external systems. She is adept at handling crisis situations and helping clients manage the most difficult times in their lives. She uses a trauma informed approach to help individuals make new meaning in their lives and find their personal path to success.
