Much like the character Hamlet says to his friend in the play by William Shakespeare “there is more in heaven and earth than is dreamt of in our philosophy”. There is so much about life and living, loving and losing than we can possibly understand. Whatever philosophical ideas we hold, there is so much that remains unknowable. Because it resonates with my own respect for and curiosity about the mystery of being alive, my clinical practice is informed by existential thinking. Why is this happening? How can I survive? What does it mean? These are the questions underlying our reactions to and feelings about our lives.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I served as a Child & Family Therapist within the Trauma Treatment Program at Children’s Research Triangle (CRT) from 2012-2018, taught graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Art Therapy & Counseling at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2017-2019, and entered private practice in 2019. Outside of counseling, I am an artist, mother of two, and spouse.

I work with adults from college through retirement who are experiencing anxiety, depression, loss and grief, career and life transitions, and other stressors. I am a warm, inspiring presence ready to partner with you with a style that is both intuitive and solution focused. I am client centered and can help you clarify issues; work through long-standing problems; develop strategies for living with more fulfillment; become a more effective communicator, and less self-critical. I also work with clients experiencing unexplained infertility, hoarding disorder, and chronic insomnia. I currently do telephone or video sessions.

My practice specializes in working with children/adolescents and college/post-college adults who have problems adapting to their current life circumstances. As a certified perinatal therapist and mother of three, I am passionate about mental health during reproduction, pregnancy, and motherhood. This is a time in a woman’s life that is often labeled as blissful and exciting, but it can be one of the most challenging transitions a woman experiences. This is a time of significant change, and usually involves uncertainty and emotional overwhelm. I aim to normalize this complex experience, and help you manage through this adjustment more seamlessly.

Since 2017 I have worked with children, adolescents and adults with a special focus in trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and disordered eating. Throughout her career, Blair noticed a need to explore beyond her clients’ moods and emotional states, and was compelled to investigate other areas that may contribute to dysregulation and dissatisfaction. Blair decided to pursue an Integrated Nutrition Health Coach Certificate in 2023 and often takes a holistic approach when working with clients. Blair will assess and make recommendations for lifestyle changes in order to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, cultivate a greater sense of vitality and help clients achieve optimal health.

Since 2009, I have I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and parents with a special focus in anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, grief and loss, and life transitions. I have the Level 1 Theraplay Certification which works with children and parents to enhance attachment and increase self-regulation skills. I believe in focusing on bridging the therapy space to other environments so parents and schools will be included in treatment planning and updates. I also work with new and expectant parents, and received the level 1 PSI training to help support in this significant life transition.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker typically practicing in Wilmette, Illinois and currently providing therapy virtually as well as outdoors weather permitting. I work with children, adolescents and adults and provide individual and family therapy. I have experience working with those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, school-related problems and more.

My training, research and clinical work have been dedicated to working with and on behalf of older adults. Through my personal and professional experiences, I have become very familiar with the unique challenges that go along with aging - and the ways getting older can test a person’s mind, body, and spirit. I have also seen firsthand how therapy can help people find new ways of coping or reconnecting with strategies that have been helpful in the past. When effective, therapy can help people live more satisfying lives - even in the face of adversity.
