Hi, my name is Kavi Branham and I provide telehealth counseling. As a counselor, I am grateful for the opportunity to be a guide, support, and "helper" in your self-discovery, growth, development, and emotional/mental healing! I seek to provide a comfortable therapeutic environment where trust and rapport can be established with my clients as a foundation for change and improvement. I specialize in trauma therapy and utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I also employ other modalities to address mental health challenges and struggles, such as CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

I love the counseling that I do. For the last fifteen years I have been a witness to the courage, tenacity, and resiliency of my clients as they strive to improve their personal lives and relationships in their families. I am convinced that much of our life is determined by the lens that we choose to look through. I also believe counselors are most successful when they also have a healthy lifestyle and live the principles that they teach to their clients. I believe that when you meet me that you will find me to be grounded, healthy, and authentic.

Sometimes life gets overwhelming, hopes get waylaid by life challenges, relationships turn out not as dreamed. Sometimes the transitions in life--child to adult, single to married, married to single, working to retired--created emotional/mental barriers in our lives. Everyone experiences periods of challenge in life. it's natural to feel stuck. Many also live with added mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, loss/grief & more. When wrestling with these challenges, it often leaves a sense of disconnectedness. It can interfere with important relationships, & it can block us from successfully pursuing important goals. This disconnectedness can lead to existential voids & unpleasant or frightening thoughts. Yet proven evidence-based treatments for this phenomenon exist.

Since 2012 I have enjoyed working with individuals, parents, and groups in the Treasure Valley and beyond! I try to bring a fresh perspective and a non-judgemental attitude to each session. My clients can expect empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuiness from me. They can also expect the knowledge and wisdom of a seasoned therapist.

My ideal client wants to engage in positive change and seeks support in making those steps. I come from over twenty years of service in a diverse array of client age (2-96), ability, ethnicity, social class, and needs. Naturally we are all very unique creatures with some goals and experiences that overlap with those around us. My goal is to support clients to navigate through their challenges and hardships. In time, supporting them to make the most of their story and being able to reach their ideal version of self.

Navigating through life can become burdensome alone. As your therapist, I help support the improvement of your relationships both at home with family and others in your work or community lives. Clients will find my approach supportive and inviting. You are able to set their own goals and through our work together we will build communication, conflict resolution, and relationship skills.
