Hello, my name is Keith Myers, and one of my goals is to crush the stigma of mental health. Many have a story about mental health, but not everyone feels free to share that story. I have worked in the mental health profession for over 21 years working with adult men, women, and older adolescents. These include military clients, those who are struggling with complex trauma or PTSD, those who need to improve their emotional regulation skills, and those who are coping with relationship problems and/or divorce. I also treat other trauma therapists. I am comfortable sitting with you in your suffering and celebrating your successes.

My potential clients are aware they need counseling or have reached a point where they cannot manage their life effectively. While they are in charge of what they do with their lives they may feel unable to navigate it. They need support, education, empathy, tools, and insight to help them with better decision making and the ability to navigate their path. They want a therapist that is genuine and can offer multiple perspectives, insights, and empathy while helping them work through what their current struggle is. Therapy is a safe place to work through all thoughts, feelings and concerns without judgement.

I do not believe in the statement "my past does not define me." It absolutely does! Everything you have experienced, both good and bad, is the reason why you are who you are today. Every single choice you make is made through the lenses of your life experiences. We run from labels that have been forced on us and grasp for ones that make us feel more... What would happen if you embraced your true self, who you really are inside and out, the good and the bad. I am a Latina immigrant, a native Spanish speaker, and a naturalized United States Citizen since 1987. After learning English, I graduated from The University of Georgia, undergraduate and graduate school, with the highest academic honors. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years of education and practical experience which are the foundation of my clinical practice.

In individual therapy, I tend to work with clients on improving symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, family issues, and PTSD.

The Atlanta Behavioral Clinic specializes in working with young children and their families and caregivers, with some services beginning before 1 year old. Our approach is comprehensive. Our practice typically centers around working with clients and families to improve a child's behaviors using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), however, we also assist with Autism evaluations, offer play therapy, TF-CBT, family counseling, parent and caregiver coaching, support groups, and other services.
