As an Independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida I provide flexible, person-centered therapy that helps individuals realize their ability to change and overcome their challenges. If you are coping with depression, anxiety, addiction/substance abuse, or trauma I am here to help. Therapy should be effective, uplifting, and person centered. My counseling approach combines traditional therapy techniques with a practical, problem-solving approach that assists you in seeking the inner strength needed to reach your goals. I work with adults 18 and older.

They want to be heard, validated, and given a sense of direction. One reason is that some may feel hopeless about their circumstances and their future. Others may feel helpless about their ability to change their lives due to past traumatic experiences.

I have been in the mental health field for over 25 years, receiving my MSW from Indiana University Northwest School of Social Work. In my private practice, I have the freedom to conduct sessions in a relaxed, hopeful environment. Therapy on THE BEACH uses a positive approach to bring about change. I have worked with all age groups; working with families to integrate children back into their family settings. Clients with dysregulated moods, depression, anxiety and anger issues. Working with couples through my own technique WAR. Working with the elderly who often times feel like they are facing depression and end of life issues alone.

David specializes in the treatment of sex addiction and other co-occurring disorders including depression, anxiety, and trauma. He has been in the addiction treatment field since 2007 and understands the devastating effects of active addiction and that recovery and lasting change is possible.
