Trained at the Yale Center for Traumatic Stress and Recovery, I help young adults and families who are struggling in the wake of recent traumatic events, or stressful events that may have happened years ago. Clients I have helped on the path to recovery have experienced sexual, physical or emotional abuse, domestic, school or community violence, motor vehicle accidents, loss of a parent or important attachment figure, natural or man-made disasters, a stressful life change, and multiple or complex traumas. They may also suffer from symptoms of anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, and have difficulties concentrating or sleeping.

Clients would benefit from family therapy when they are struggling with family, relationship, communication, stress, and/ or mental health issues that occur in their home, work, and/ or social settings. The goal of family therapy its to help clients identify attainable goals in a manner where they feel empowered, resilient, and confident in expressing their feelings and emotions openly.

Nature-themed, outdoor groups will provide opportunities for children to explore sensory activities outdoors while focusing on gaining abilities for self-regulation, social skills, and self-esteem building! These group will include opportunities for nature-themed arts and crafts, mindfulness and meditation, children’s yoga and movement games to increase executive functioning.
