Welcome to my practice! I am a licensed psychologist, working in private practice since 1995 in the state of FLorida. As a therapist, I specialize in the treatment of individuals with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, eating disorders and addictive behaviors. I help individuals identify and express difficult emotions utilizing mindfulness, mindful self-compassion and Nonviolent Communication. I am certified to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), trained to teach Mindful Self Compassion (MSC), and I am a registered Nonviolent Communication Trainer Candidate with the Center for Nonviolent Communication.

I provide a non judgmental, confidential, and safe environment for clients to explore the areas of their lives where they may struggle. I also specialize in working with clients who have substance abuse issues, dual diagnosis, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship concerns and codependency. I also assist clients with chronic pain and tinnitus. I am actively licensed in Florida, New York, and Tennessee and serve clients in those states.

As someone who has recovered from PTSD myself, I know that healing is possible. I believe that changing our thinking about what triggers mean is really helpful. Often, we avoid triggers, but my philosophy and way of being act in the opposite manner: I see triggers as messengers and an invitation to delve deeper into our unconscious. Our symptoms are a form of communication; they are intelligent and exist for a reason. By following them, we can find a path to the root cause of our suffering.
