I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who works from a relational and strength-based perspective; providing clients with a safe space for collaboration to identify strategies that help overcome difficulties that bring them to therapy. My focus is on working with children/families dealing with relational and developmental issues, as well as with trauma, anxiety, and behavioral difficulties. I am a Christian counselor who works with clients that are experiencing difficulty with depression, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, family issues, marital issues, and more. I work with all age groups and diverse populations. The ideal client is the client who seeks help for their problem. I use a mix of many theories to treat clients depending on individual needs. I work with children and adults to address almost any need and believe there is no "one size fits all" type of counseling. Melisa Restrepo, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. She received her Master degree in Clinical Psychology from Montclair State University in New Jersey and completed a postgraduate certificate program in Infant-Parent Mental Health in the University of Massachusetts.

My specialties includes relationship issues, life transition changes such as separation/divorce, death of a loved one, adjustment to new living situations . Depression and anxiety are conditions treated in my practice. My experience includes play therapy with children as young as 3 years old. I am trained in all school related issues children struggle with including: ADHD,ADD, behavioral issues, social skill issues.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries from Valley Forge Christian College and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Cherrie brings to the table a lifetime of experiences: family military legacy, career guidance, divorce, codependency, forgiveness, addictions and deep intimate grief recovery. These in total create the unique ability to empathize with clients on a real level.
