There are so many factors; high achievers, life changes, puberty, and the rapidly shifting world around us can all play a part in the exhausting and overwhelming feelings many people live with. These things can have a direct effect on your physical health, too! The brain and the body are connected, and they will let you know when things are not in sync. This can be confusing for some people, they get stuck and don't know how to move forward. Feeling stuck can increase those distressing thoughts related to anxiety, depression, and trauma.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pensacola, Florida, since 2008, I have a deep appreciation for working with adults & teenagers. I believe in the incredible strength and capacity for change within each individual. I enjoy helping adults navigate a variety of needs in mental health, including healing from abuse, managing stressors, moving through grief, changing patterns of relating that aren't fulfilling anymore, and finding ways to better communicate and set boundaries. Like war, trauma from adult and childhood abuse, hurt from church and family have left many of us just limping through life. Just because you are use to the pain, it doesn't mean you or your love ones should continue to live with the pain. I am honest and I like to see results. I also like to work with clients that are ready to be honest and put in the work to see their desired results. I primarily see adult women with trauma and couples in need of support! As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I put a lot of focus into trauma healing, utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. This method can be used for many different issues, as well as processing any early trauma, this is often present when we can’t quite figure out why our mind and body are always on high alert. Our bodies do really well in telling us what we need to work through. I can help you become more attuned to your needs.

After almost 18 years in law enforcement, I made the transition to becoming a therapist.
