After developing and running the Track III Program for Schizophrenia at Hall Brooke Hospital in Westport, Ct in the early 90's, I went on staff at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Ct to further hone my craft at treating individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, bi-polar, eating disorders, self esteem issues, schizophrenia, trauma etc... For the past decade I have brought my keen ability to accurately and quickly diagnose symptoms to my private practice in Stamford, Ct, where I treat adolescents, teens and adults suffering from a multitude of issues.

As a therapist, I feel strongly that adolescents, children and their parents, can overcome obstacles and increase life satisfaction. Many of the problems, both social and academic, that children, adolescents and young adults face today stem from difficulties managing negative emotions, namely anxiety and sadness. These difficulties shape behavior in a variety of ways; temper tantrums and moodiness, low tolerance for frustration/avoidance, hyperactivity, limited attention, poor social skills, low self-esteem, defiance of authority, lack of direction and motivation, substance use, and a decline in academics.

Life has many challenging moments, and life is full of them. Children, teens, and adults may struggle with school/work difficulties, social/emotional problems, relationship issues, difficult transitions (college, move, divorce, or loss), or daily stressors or conflicts for which they need support. Though parents do their best to create a conflict and stress-free environment, children will inevitably face obstacles, and adults face a range of stressors and complex emotions that can be difficult to navigate. I aim to empower you with knowledge and strategies to help you with the presenting problem and other challenging situations.

I have 20 plus years of experience working with adults, youths and families addressing concerns surrounding Intimate Partner Violence, Substance Use/Abuse, Behavioral Health, Mental Health, and Internal/External Personal well-being. In addition, assessing risk and safety while creating and implementing safety/behavioral plans within the family unit.
