Both Child Parent Psychotherapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are top rated evidence based treatments for children who have experienced trauma. Trauma could include many things such as child abuse or neglect, death of a parent, witnessing domestic violence or any number of other scary events that can occur for children.
