I have built a career on empowering, counseling, and educating women around their reproductive, hormonal, and sexual health. You need someone in your corner to support you, remind you of your innate strength, validate your struggle, speak with radical honesty, and help you restore your life. I promise to guide you through this process in a safe, laid back and non-judgmental atmosphere. We will work together on setting goals and I will provide you with practical and helpful tools to utilize outside of therapy. I use a mindfulness based approach in my work with couples and individuals from all walks of life. The majority of my clientele are working on learning how to be more present in the here and now, seeking to improve their relationships, and find life satisfaction. I've help clients make career changes, work through high conflict, rebuilding trust, emotional connection, and intimacy. Clients who work best with me are open to change, willing to let go, and reconnect with their own internal relationships. I also work with ENM and LGBTQIA individuals and couples.

My goal in therapy is to help you know your value, and feel empowered to make the life you want. We can all feel tied down by old stories that no longer serve us. My role is to come along side you and help use the natural ways our body regulates, and mind communicates to help you find the truth in your story. Whether you are suffering the loss of someone you love, going through a major change in your life, desiring to be heard in your relationship or any of the other struggles that make us human, I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

Therapy helps you access your inherent ability to heal and find sovereignty. We all have the innate capacity for cultivating joy, to love and be loved; but the ways we have learned to cope and relate to others in the past are not necessarily the ways to thrive now. Your physical and emotional experiences are messages that can help you understand your needs and values, providing the insight and motivation to change and grow. When we learn to respond to these messages with care and wisdom, we begin to serve our deeper purpose and selves.

I specialize in working with couples and individuals facing relationship transitions (divorce, coparenting, platonic partnership consideration, etc.), sexual or relational desire and orientation differences (including kink, non-monogamy, and sexual orientation, gender transitions, and more), sexual and religious trauma (for ex., "exvangelicals" and queer folks with oppression trauma), intimate partner violence trauma, healing from a breach of trust, coming out and gender exploration/transition (one or both partners), and more. I frequently work with LGBTQIA/queer couples and the parents of LGBTQIA+ youth. I do work with youth 14+.

I believe that therapy can help us to move toward greater self-understanding, empowerment, and fulfillment. I strive to create a supportive therapeutic space in which you and I can collaboratively process through thoughts, feelings, and experiences with openness and compassion. So often societal messages and stigmas can cause us to view our behaviors with shame and judgment, which can lead us to feel even more stuck. My goal is to support you in slowing down, shifting toward curiosity and compassion, and feeling empowered to make the changes that you seek.

Do you want more sexual and emotion intimacy? Are you concerned about your sexual identity or sexual functioning? It is common for people to encounter sexual problems, at any age. What is uncommon is for people to do something about those problems before they irreparably damage their self-esteem and relationships. Left unmanaged, anger, shame, and fear increase. The sooner you come in for help the better chance you have of growing a happy, healthy sexual life.

Are anxiety, depression, and trauma creating roadblocks in your life? Does it feel like there is a disconnect between you and the world around you? It is normal for the trauma stored in your body to create barriers to connection. Unfortunately, these barriers can be incredibly painful and difficult to cope with. You may be experiencing cycles of painful thoughts, days of numbness, or outbursts of anger.

Watch how a person builds a sandcastle, a philosopher once said. The first person will proceed hesitantly, fretting about the inevitable return of the waves. The second person won't even start: why bother, the tide will only destroy it. The third person embraces the unavoidable and throws themself into the work regardless, joyful but not oblivious. We often feel like all three people at once, leaving us confused and stuck. The aim of my work is emotional intelligence, which is the capacity to reconcile the contradictions inside ourselves in order to become more vital, creative, flexible, and accepting of our self.

I have a passion for working with adults in big or small life transitions and emerging adults staring their adult lives! I have a trauma focused practice. I work with those who seek treatment for life experiences such as: anxiety, depression, sexual, physical, or emotional abuse, social isolation, teen friendships/bullying/dating, teen parenting, teen pregnancy counseling and support, low energy, stress, panic attacks, a traumatic event or other stressors, self sufficiency development, divorce, low self esteem, ADD/ADHD, mood dysregulation, oppositional or angry behaviors, and relational and attachment issues.
