I'm Denisse and reconnecting to my Latinx culture, ancestors, roots, and motherland in this last year has been an core part of my development as a psychotherapist and the inspiration in creating Ancestral Therapy, a relational, non-pathologizing, liberation centered, and culturally affirming therapeutic lens for first gen, children of immigrants, bicultural identifying folk, and black or brown bodies who need more than just talk therapy but want to reclaim their power, break cycles of generational trauma, access the innate wisdom of their body, and process the impact of colonization and systemic oppression onto their people.

What sets me apart is I was trained as a Clinical Psychologist (Doctor of Psychology) & have completed research in, as well as extensively trained in, marriage, stress, & couples therapy. I deal with issues such as controlled drinking, sobriety, relationship, couple's or family issues, Court, incest survivor trauma, and addiction issues. I'm also a LMFT, and Yoga and Meditation Therapist and EMDR Therapist which gives me a unique ability to help my patients integrate in their bodies emotionally and mentally.
