Welcome to Dialectica Family Therapy we were established by DBT Therapist Jennifer Miles who opened her Group Practice in Camarillo, CA in 2018 . We offer our clients cutting edge therapeutic interventions , group therapy, EMDR, IEMT, DBT and starting in 2024 in our upcoming Thousand Oaks Office Nuerofeedback. We use a holistic approach to therapy and believe there is not one specific way to healing. We work from a team model which is particularly helpful with Family work and with kids and teens. We specialize in Trauma, Mood D/O, BPD, higher quality of life and finding purpose and meaning in one's life.

Everyone has a story and sometimes we become stuck in our story because we want to move in a direction that may be different than what is expected. Being stuck may manifest with symptoms of anxiety, depression or other disorders. My approach is to encounter these symptoms with curiosity rather than judgment. The role of therapy is to provide understanding and an empathetic ear with a belief that the activity of therapy will provide insight and healing.

I have extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse recovery, and have worked with adults and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. In my practice I see individuals and couples, and have a strong background in family therapy.

Dr. Anna Selena Cho, was born in Los Angeles and has personal experience living bi-culturally. Dr. Cho was traditionally trained in visual arts in her early developmental years and eventually obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Southern California, M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy at Phillips Graduate University, and her Doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Cho has developed programs with organizations wanting to further expand their learning standards towards socio-emotional integration.

I work with people who are addressing the challenges of resolving trauma, whose symptoms often appear as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain and illness. As an LMFT, I hold certifications in both Somatic Experiencing® and gestalt therapy. I specialize in addressing emotional health/well-being and relationship concerns of the queer community. I support my clients' discovery and expression of their gender and sexual identity in ways that honor their unique individuality and sense of self.

I have been in private practice for over 20 years. I enjoy working with children, families, and adults in helping empowerment to overcome difficult periods in life. I specialize in family dynamics and patterns to assist clients in recognizing of their behavioral patterns, beliefs, and resources that may be affecting their lives.
