I offer a relational, insightful, effective approach to therapy, aiming to help you find a sense of belonging and aliveness in the world. I welcome those who grieve, working with you to find the first hard steps after life has come undone, and with you as you learn to see in the dark. So often grief and trauma intertwine, and I offer help with the anxiety, vigilance, sleep problems, and relationship stress that often come with overwhelming experiences of trauma. Working with Brainspotting to access these places of trauma, and process them with careful attunement, I can help bring room for new perspectives and grounding in life.

As an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapist with extensive training in Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT) for couples and individuals (EFIT), I specialize in helping clients work with and heal past trauma and change patterns or dynamics that are no longer working for them. I am interactive with my clients, always leading with empathy and curiosity. I believe that connection is our greatest human strength and that facilitating an understanding and pattern of safe connection to self and others is the primary work of therapy. I work relationally with my clients to provide a safe, stable, caring space where you can explore your life, your thoughts, your feelings and your needs. This form of exploration can help you move to see yourself with less judgment, more empathy, more self love and a deeper sense of understanding. When we operate from this place within ourselves, we are better able to make choices and decisions that result in less suffering.

I have over 20 years of experience working with children, youth and families in Sonoma County and beyond. I work from a humanistic, integrative approach. The way that I view Integrative psychotherapy is to honor the process of taking disowned or unresolved aspects (or parts) of the self and bring them together in order to help one find their "true authentic self." This process reduces defense mechanisms, and supports each client to integrate those protective parts in order to engage with the world, themselves and the people they care about. I bring presence, as well as unconditional personal regard to all my clients.
