I'm a mindfulness-based psychotherapist specializing in treating teens (14 and up) and adults struggling with anxiety disorders, trauma, anger management, and pervasive emotion dysregulation, as well as failure-to-launch, complex grief, and couples who are suffering from infertility and the complex opportunities and challenges of international adoption. Engaging in therapy is one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves and those we care about. As a clinician with over 25 years of experience, I guide my clients through their journey of self-discovery by providing a safe, private and non-judgemental environment. It is an interactive process of identifying areas of concern and potential roadblocks that may impede your ability to live a full and meaningful life. I work with individuals and couples ranging in age from pre-teen to older adults. The primary areas of focus are issues concerning; depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual molestation, grief & loss, health concerns, transgender, work & career issues, infertility, adoption & post-partum depression.

Life, man. Life. With the highs, come the inevitable lows which can be difficult to navigate, much less tolerate. Sometimes the lows look like sadness or irritability and feel like stuckness. Sometimes the lows look like not connecting with your partner, your child, or yourself. Sometimes the lows are just hard to describe, but they certainly don't feel good. We work together to provide you with the tools you need to move through your stuckness, your lack of connection, your difficulty communicating, or whatever it is that creates frustration or pain, in order to help you feel lighter, better, and maybe even hopeful.

I specialize in helping people struggling with sexuality & relationships, grief/loss, and LGBTQ+ issues. That includes anyone who has grown up feeling unaccepted as their authentic self or experienced the loss of a loved one. I especially understand the deep impact of childhood trauma and how to approach healing. I believe healing begins with connection. Good therapy is a safe place where all parts of you are welcome! My specialty is building relationships and making clients feel safe in a space to share. I focus on 1:1 ,couples, families and groups. I am always looking to balance solution focused sessions with underlying clinical issues. Helping clients feel like they can get some relief early on in therapy is a priority. Anxiety, depression, addiction, family relation issues, life transitions and Covid are just some areas of work are that are my specialty. Whether you are comfortable free flow talking or need a more interview style, I am comfortable doing both. I also specialize in young adult and dual diagnosis.

My goal in therapy is to facilitate self-exploration in an attempt to heal and make sense of difficult situations, emotional states and relationships. I do this by providing a safe space to explore, free of judgments and agendas. Many of us get stuck in particular patterns just like grooves in a record and we never get out of those patterns. Through work in therapy we can create new grooves that result in different responses to the situations, emotions and relationships of life.
