Hi, my name is Julie, I support individuals and couples who may struggle with trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, and stress. Every client’s needs are unique, but as humans, we all have the resilience to heal and live a meaningful life. My job is to remind you of your strengths, explore what may be holding you back, give you tools to self-regulate, and insight into yourself. I use a gentle and straightforward approach to help you reconnect, understand your inner world, and feel more empowered in your decisions. I treat teens, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation, grief, and more. Some clients, favor confiding in a male therapist. My integrative approach draws from a combination of practices including mindfulness-based interventions, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and somatic practice which focuses on the mind body connection to help my clients cope with their issues, increase self-esteem, and develop emotional regulation and resiliency. In younger children, I use play therapy to facilitate communication and gain a deeper understanding of their needs.

I work with depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use. In addition to in-office sessions, I’ve worked in more than ten schools throughout the South Bay providing group and individual therapy to students. As we move through life, we may find ourselves feeling disconnected with our sense of Self, and in turn, our innate wisdom. This disconnection can create a deep sense of grief, confusion, loneliness and overwhelm. How we've been conditioned to respond to this sense of disconnection can also bring about it's own devastating and disorienting challenges. However, I wholly believe we as humans have an intrinsic capacity for healing and demonstrate boundless strength even in the darkest of moments.

Much of my professional experience has been working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I enjoy helping each family member find their voice and improve their communication and functioning as a family. I aim to help them to lift their depression and anxiety, communicate better in their relationships, and figure out who they are and what they stand for. In addition to individual and family therapy, we also offer numerous group therapies. I also provide Clinical Supervision to pre-licensed therapists and Associate positions.
