Hi, my name is Julie, I support individuals and couples who may struggle with trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, and stress. Every client’s needs are unique, but as humans, we all have the resilience to heal and live a meaningful life. My job is to remind you of your strengths, explore what may be holding you back, give you tools to self-regulate, and insight into yourself. I use a gentle and straightforward approach to help you reconnect, understand your inner world, and feel more empowered in your decisions. My goal is for you to process and overcome the obstacles that pull you back in a supportive and collaborative environment.

I believe that our problems don't define us - how we handle them does. You may feel lost because life may not have unfolded as planned, which triggers anxiety, depression, or overwhelming grief. However, with a bit of time and self-reflection, it's entirely possible to build or rebuild a life that is different from what you envisioned. Life transitions exist in all parts of our lives and those changes, whether good or bad, can be challenging to navigate. I specialize in working with couples, families & individuals seeking Counseling and/or Mediation during various stages of their relationships. I also specialize in Sex Addiction Betrayal Trauma and Infidelity. I work with the partners of a sex addicts. Partners of sex addicts find their lives have been turned upside down. Life as they knew it has vanished. I can help to navigate through this new ground and prepare for disclosure if that is desired by the partner.

I'm here to help you. Whether this is your first time seeking counseling, or you are returning to work through a challenging time, I commend you for your willingness to try out therapy and/or continue your work. As we all know, life is not easy, and we are constantly confronted by doubts, darkness, fear, loss, and loneliness. I dedicate my time and efforts and use my skill set to collaborate with clients. The main reason why couples seek counseling is due to a communication breakdown that begins to dismantle an otherwise healthy relationship. Our primary need is to be understood, but if partners are using different modes of communication, there can be a disconnect. DT can provide the jump-start to help find the excitement and communication that couples experienced at the beginning of a relationship, and the common ground that can build a stronger place from which to build trust. In learning more about the roles we play, DT offers partners the opportunity to gain greater insight about themselves and about their problems in relationships.

Brandi loves to work with all humans working through related to self-worth, relationships, identity, anxiety, etc. Brandi wants to provide that safe space that may be missing. Her goal is to help adults become introspective and limit the recreation of learned patterns. Brandi also loves to work with children and adolescents ages 7-17 around numerous issues, including, but not limited to: relationships/friendships, exploration, identity, self-esteem, anxiety, fears, and finding their voice. Brandi is dedicated to helping them become strong and healthy humans before they lead lives fully on their own.

As a culture, we are taught to suppress our emotions. We would do anything and everything to distract ourselves as opposed to diving in. I’m a firm believer that our bodies hold our emotions, experiences and traumas. If we turn within, we can find the resources to deal with any problem and we can create a life of satisfaction, love and joy. I provide expressive arts therapy and talk therapy for all ages including mindful parenting support for adults and re-parenting and parts work for teens and adults.

We have all experienced a shift in our "normal" lives; our usual way of being during the past few years. During these extraordinary times, you may be questioning what life is about; the meaning of it all. You are not alone, my friends. Many of us are experiencing anxiety, as our once familiar "normal" has shifted to a new "normal". I understand this and you. We can work through this together.

Do you feel tortured by intrusive thoughts? Is your life ruled by a never-ending series of 'what-if's', each more horrifying than the last? You've been hiding your struggle behind a veil of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and other self-sacrificing behaviors, but it's getting exhausting. You're tired of the rituals, the constant reassurance seeking, and the disconnect you feel from your body and the humans around you. Trying to talk yourself out of a thought spiral only seems to make things worse and you're not sure how to move forward. It doesn't have to be like this! Calm is closer than you think.

As we move through life, we may find ourselves feeling disconnected with our sense of Self, and in turn, our innate wisdom. This disconnection can create a deep sense of grief, confusion, loneliness and overwhelm. How we've been conditioned to respond to this sense of disconnection can also bring about it's own devastating and disorienting challenges. However, I wholly believe we as humans have an intrinsic capacity for healing and demonstrate boundless strength even in the darkest of moments.

Seeking out therapy and finding the right therapist can feel daunting, frustrating, and extremely vulnerable. Knowing this, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative relationship with my clients. I want my clients to know they are not alone in their struggles. I not only understand and validate but also help empower them to create both emotional and behavioral changes that will lead to a happier and more fulfilling life. My goal is to have my client become more self-aware, identify and implement their strengths, and have tools they can apply outside of the therapy room.

My goal is to foster a human-centered space where children, teens and young adults feel like they can be authentically seen, heard and free to express themselves. I understand how intimidating it can sometimes feel to sit across from a therapist and feel like you’re under a microscope. As an imperfect human who has experienced my own struggles, I hope to bring compassion, realness and understanding to those I work with. Through creativity and play, I hope to help children find ways to process difficult emotions through means that make sense to them. Growth is possible when we find healthier ways to address life's obstacles.

I believe that to become better versions of ourselves, we must first work towards healing and processing our past wounds. Sometimes our wounds and past traumas can hold us back from being better partners, parents, and individuals. I need to provide you with a safe and nurturing environment to heal and grow.
