I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing telehealth therapy services in Texas and New Mexico. I have over 12 years of experience in the mental health field between Southern New Mexico and San Antonio, TX. I have provided both in home and telehealth therapy since 2014 and exclusively telehealth since March 2020. I currently only provide telehealth services.

I work with individuals, couples and families on issues such as panic and anxiety,depression, relationships and stress management. I also enjoy working with people facing retirement issues as well as life transitions.

I help you to see your symptoms as a meaningful response to concerns that you have about your life and yourself. I help you become aware of what is keeping you from living the way you want to live. I help you to get clear about what you want in the way of love, work (expressing yourself) and enjoyment of life and to use your thoughts, feelings, intentions, talents and strengths to get on a path towards satisfying those desires. I help people heal from trauma. I don't believe drugs are good treatment and will help you withdraw from them.

I hold myself to high standards in maintaining the right of client determination while showing unconditional positive regard for all. My own goal as a therapist is to try to help others feel empowered, restored, and of course enthusiastic each and everyday.

I strive to be that person for my client in their life that is capable of hearing and holding their pain. I have experience working with infants, children, adolescent, adults, couples and families. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients where together we can work collaboratively to reach their goals. Maria enjoys working with children, families, couples, trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ community, addiction and recovery.

I provide my clients a therapeutic setting where they can feel safe and comfortable to discuss their deepest thoughts and concerns. I will help you identify what you want to work on in order to improve yourself in various settings. We identify your goals and work toward achieving them to improve or solve your work/family/or social issues. Your identity is private, safe and secure. No information leaves my office without a Release of Information signed by you. I specialize in working with children and families to assist them in striving to attain a more functional and stable home environment for all members of the family.
