Hi & welcome! Young adults, college students, women navigating fertility, parents, families and professionals are all good fits for my style. Depression, anxiety, trauma, pre and post partum, parenting, relationships—these are a few of my specialty areas. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, art therapy, my experience as a certified yoga instructor, and my ongoing training in working with trauma. After obtaining my Board Certification in Behavior Analysis in 2008, I used my energy and knowledge to develop ways in which to bring the value and quality of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to those populations that were underserved or often not recognized as people who could truly benefit from ABA. I pursued my professional counseling license to combine the worlds of counseling and ABA for the most comprehensive approach possible. Over the years I have learned that my niche lies with children who struggle with severe behavioral challenges, children/teens on the Autism Spectrum, and children and adults who have endured trauma.

As a queer BIPOC individual, my passion is working with other individuals, relationships, and family systems of the queer (LGBTQIA+) and or BIPOC community. If you grew up in a culture that viewed mental health as taboo, you may be feeling alone and hopeless. Know that you are not alone in your journey. I believe that people and relationships can thrive if given the proper support, nourishment, and environment. We are all given the same tools, but how helpful can it be if we were never taught how to use them? With some direction, non-judgement, and unconditional positive regard I believe people are capable of incredible things.

Brainspotting is a highly effective intervention for simple and complex trauma, as well as post traumatic stress and anxiety, It works without retraumatization. Our foundational beliefs, values, experiences, and attitudes are the foundation upon which everything that comes into our lives is built. Like building a home, if a stone in the foundation is skewed, the house is structurally compromised. When we experience trauma or negative experiences, everything that touches upon that foundation is compromised.
