Hello. I hope to support individuals managing racial and cultural trauma. I specialize in my work with Black individuals, my Queer and Trans family, and the various concerns we face at the intersection of our personal and professional identities. I provide culturally-inclusive care and spiritually-integrated support for those seeking meaning-making in their therapeutic process. I'm open to processing whatever energy exists in your search for the sacred. If your goals are to address feelings of anxiety, depression, racial and ethnic trauma, church hurt, or sexual identity issues, I'm here to help.

Your relationship with yourself and others cause you to suffer in ways that your friends can't fully comprehend. Feelings of failure, insecurity, anxiety and depression have left you feeling like a stranger in your own life. You question yourself, wondering if you've done something wrong... whether there's something you should be doing differently. Friends and family are trying to be helpful with their advice, but it often leaves you feeling worse. Some days you have hope and others you feel you are in true despair. You are desperate to make sense of it all, and you don't know where to turn.

The foundation of my approach is curiosity. My individual therapy style is relational, nurturing, and insightful. Whether working with young people or adults, I strive to provide them with individual tools to transform into more openhearted and authentic versions of themselves. My maxim: You can heal so many parts of your life by approaching it with a curious heart and open mind.

The ideal client is one who is a collaborative individual wanting to tackle issues pertaining to motivation, anxiety control, overthinking, and feeling in control, this may involve existential questioning (LGBTQIA+). I imagine the clients goals to be more in control of themselves and to understand how their specific situation affects their day-to-day lives. This ideal client would want to collaboratively work together to tackle their various issues because they find it difficult to find time and focus on the here and now.

Grief and loss, stress and trauma, life transitions, substance abuse, attachment issues, codependence, boundaries. My specialty is in grief, which means I work with individuals who have experienced a loss. Perhaps that loss is due to death or illness, or is a non-death loss related to times of transitions, loss of relationships, jobs, or identity. I also work with those struggling with substance use, as well as friends and family of those managing addiction.

Experiencing life changes, grief or loss often prompts us to seek counseling. As a counselor, my aim is to support and empower clients in making positive changes. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals can find meaning in their challenges and grow from their experiences. I believe that with the guidance and respect of a counselor, people can overcome obstacles and discover their inner strength. Together, we work towards aligning actions, goals, and lifestyles with personal values, fostering authenticity and fulfillment. Integrity serves as my guiding principle throughout the therapeutic journey.

I am EMDR trained and use the modality to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety and depression.

I provide individual counseling for adults and work most often with neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma and existential issues. I love working with clients who are curious and want to gain a deeper understanding of self before trying to “fix”. I believe that combining curiosity with the guided support and knowledge of a therapist can lead to lasting change. I offer a down-to-earth, relational approach and enjoy using humor when appropriate. I strive to strike a balance between being knowledgeable and competent as a therapist and being warm and relatable as a human.

Sometimes the hardest thing we might do is taking the first step to begin counseling- getting help means we have struggles. The issues we face in life have the ability to deeply damage us, but also the potential for personal growth. Be encouraged that the first step to emotional healing is difficult, but it's worth taking. We can know how to love ourselves better if our value can be affirmed by someone who cares, and you can face them knowing you are not alone. Defeat the bad behavior not the kid. Play is the natural language of the child. Rules without relationship equals REBELLION- are terms I have used throughout my clinical career. Parents, remember the behaviors didn't take overnight to appear, nor will they disappear overnight. But with empathy, compassion, consistency equals CHANGE.
