Hi, I am Cari Varela, MS LPC-S, LSOTP, and I have been providing therapeutic services since 2007. I have provided individual, family, and group services for adults and children throughout my career. I have provided counseling for treatment concerns such as Adolescents/Teens, Anxiety, Borderline Personality, Codependency, and Coping Skills. In addition, I use a mix of CBT, Client-Centered Therapy, Clinical Supervision, and Licensed, Humanistic, and Trauma Focused therapies. I believe that I enjoy helping others, and I think it's fantastic to see people grow.

In therapy sessions, I am flexible to client’s needs both in their goals and how they want to get there. I have some clients who prefer to be more structured and practice certain skills while I have other clients who prefer to make the session feel more like a free-flowing conversation. Some issues that I speciailze in are PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, veteran's issues, and life adjustment issues.

She is certified in EMDR. She works with all genders, including people who identify as transgender and non-binary and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Janet also has extensive experience working with veterans, active duty service members, and their families, with a unique empathy for being a military child.

Hello fellow traveler! My practice is grounded in trauma informed care but inspired by the expansion of human awareness. I am a deeply sensitive and curious therapist. I love to use metaphors, poetic improvisation, archetypes, body movement, meditation, and lots of humor in my practice. I am deeply touched and inspired by topics related to feminism, de-colonization, psychedelic therapies, LGBTQIA+ community, the Latino movement, religious cult survivors, and the non-monogamous experience. I strongly believe in relational therapy, which means that I foster a warm and safe space where people feel free to be who they are with me!
