It takes strength and courage to reach out for help. I have faced many challenges in childhood, as a mom, and in a relationship. I believe that the healing work I have done with these challenges has helped me to better show up with compassion and humility. We are all in this together. I work from a somatic body based trauma informed lens. I use the following modalities: brainspotting, cognitive therapy, music therapy, creative arts therapy, psychodrama, EMDR, experiential therapy, coaching, psychodramatic body work, advanced integrative therapy, and I am a Brene Brene Brown Daring Way Facilitator.

We work with adults and couples to assist people with choosing solutions that help them improve their relationships by changing their behavior. We help clients look at their situations and problems as opportunities to explore their choices to work toward staying on track by meeting their goals in order to enhance their lives. We aid people in finding solutions for their problems instead of focusing only on the problem. This is a clinical outpatient setting and we help clients address all disorders listed in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual, 5th Edition - Text Revision (DSM-5-TR).

It takes courage to reach out to another for support with life events, stress, and relationships. My goal in working with you is to provide support by observing and better utilizing your strengths while identifying what is getting in your way. Together we will explore how you can better manage symptoms of trauma, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety and relationship stress while recognizing harmful coping mechanisms and behaviors that are holding you back, such as substance misuse and disordered eating.

The everyday hardships we face along with the evolving pandemic has challenged and changed our lives in ways previously unimagined. Therapy can be a powerful tool to develop insight, learn valuable coping skills, and foster resiliency. I am passionate about empowering individuals who have felt unseen, misunderstood, marginalized, and voiceless. I find joy in helping people gain a greater sense of self-worth and confidence, find meaning and purpose, and courageously tell their story. My goal as a therapist is to help you live a transformed, empowered life and find the courage to be your authentic self.

My ideal client is someone who is willing. Sometimes we have tried every tactic in our toolbelt. We have prayed, meditated, read the self help books, and asked for advice, but the problem still feels immovable. The depression is thick, the hopelessness unending. Maybe the anxiety feels it is driving your life. I have a trauma focus, and would love to help you discover how you got where you are. I would love to hear each and every part of your story, help you heal from the roots up. I understand you may not know where to start. Your biggest goal may just be for life to not feel so unbearable. That's ok, and we can start right there.

I am a nationally certified counselor and a licensed professional counselor with 15 years of experience counseling individuals of all ages. My experience includes, but is not limited to: depression, anxiety, family conflict, trauma, addiction and working with expecting and new mothers. I also have experience and specific training in working with infertility and loss in pregnancy. I enjoy focusing on and implementing self compassion in my clients' lives.
