The Coronavirus Pandemic has created a collective trauma. There can be some comfort in knowing that everyone is making sacrifices in this new uncharted world; however, each person’s experience is unique. Often there are unexpected ups and downs in coping that can be surprising and catch us off guard. I specialize in working with clients facing issues of trauma. I have always been fascinated in how the mind naturally creates coping strategies to help get us through tough situations in its drive towards survival. Sometimes these strategies are helpful, but other times they can hinder us from living life to its fullest.

Engaging in the process of therapy is both art and science. Individual and collaborative. Hard work and relationship. Working together to create a safe space to heal and grow, I am committed to helping my clients find the version of self they desire. I believe that our truest selves lie in between our goals and our wounds. I also work with those dealing with the difficulties of eating disorders, anxiety, depression and life transitions. My primary goal is help you feel better quickly, therefore I spend time getting to know you so we can set goals and work on reaching them.

We all encounter periods of disconnection and unhappiness in life. Difficult relationships, unsatisfying careers, and adjusting to life’s transitions can contribute to these feelings. For many, harmful coping mechanisms develop in response to these challenges, exacerbating feelings of despair and loss of control. However, times of suffering can also serve as invitations to let go of limiting beliefs and ineffective coping strategies in order to become the person we aspire to be.

There's a lot of pressure to feel like we have to know who we are, what we are doing, and what our purpose is, all the while needing to put on a brave and happy face. But the ripple effects of life's fluctuations will challenge that every time, and can put us in positions of emotional and psychological distress. Through the process of therapy, I collaborate with you to parse through the hard circumstances and challenging questions life throws at us, and aid in you finding deep profound meaning, healing, and growth in a safe space.

What's your definition of birthright? As we grow, family, culture, and society can assign meaning that does not serve our best interest but theirs. Devastatingly, we're often taught to point the finger back at ourselves when things go wrong. But I believe we heal and thrive when we nurture healthy intrinsic (fundamental to who we are) connection to ourselves and others. This work creates a safety net allowing us to build self-esteem and adapt without losing our personal power. Pursuing the arts with a former career as a performer, choreographer, and artistic director, I strongly relate to "fitting-in while trying to stand-out".

You deserve to feel happy and have a sense of purpose. I have worked with clients moving through a variety of issues for over 13 years. I've worked closely with individuals to clarify goals for client's to grow into their best-self. Communication and Social Skills are two areas of practice I have focused on for over 10 years. I have supported clients with special needs, medical issues, as well as people looking for general direction/advice around life issues.

You probably have many roles in your life, and taking care of your mental health may be the last thing on your to-do-list, but it is vital for your daily functioning. I want to assist people in becoming their fully realized emotional selves by creating a non-judgmental and sex-positive space for them to safely explore their feelings and share their vulnerabilities.
