I specialize in depression, anxiety, PTSD, domestic violence/abuse, divorce, anger management, intercultural relationships, harm reduction, and physical disabilities & adjustment. Kelly is a fully licensed social worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience. A seasoned and skilled clinician, she provides therapy to children ages 6 through 18, as they go through life changes, or experience adjustment difficulties in school, with friends, or within their families. An area of expertise is working with clients who have experienced trauma or witnessed domestic violence or abuse. Kelly also treats children experiencing anxiety, depression, divorce, break-ups, relationship loss, life changes, self-esteem and self-worth issues, as well as trauma/PTSD. She works with individuals, as well as siblings and families.

Meet Michaela, a Master’s student from Bradley University who loves learning and educating herself to provide the best possible treatment to every individual and relationship that comes into her care. She specializes in sexual difficulties, relationship issues, pre/peri postnatal issues, divorce, LGBTQ+ issues, men’s issues, and women’s issues. She values building a strong therapeutic alliance with individuals, couples, and families of any age. Michaela sees her clients as the experts in their own lives. Her therapeutic approach is humanistic and based in narrative therapy.

Churchill famously said, “If you are going through hell, keep going.” As people, we sometimes forget that the difficult moments can be temporary. The best way to survive them is to get through them. The same goes for the variety of emotions we feel. Sometimes, we just have to accept the emotions and identify ways to cope with them and get through them. Helping others through these journeys has been a passion of mine. I have often found the use of DBT, CBT, and PCT to be highly effective in helping people work through trauma based, anxiety ridden, and mood dis-regulated human conditions. I provide complete and compassionate work.

Sometimes it’s hard to get out of bed, isn’t it? Sometimes you feel defeated. Sometimes this worry takes over, feels like you’re trying to breathe under water, doesn’t it? We become so avoidant of emotions that some of us turn to alcohol and/or drugs for help. There’s no time for family or friends or self-care. We become stuck in this loop of unsatisfaction or just pain that doesn’t seem to end. It becomes hard to move, to motivate, to socialize, to change when we have these loud negative voices screaming in our heads that we’re not good enough, we don’t deserve better.

Mary uses a non-judgmental, strengths-based approach in her work with all clients, meeting them wherever they are in their lives. She enjoys working with adult survivors of complex trauma, PTSD and those struggling with anxiety and depression.
