Hello! I'm Chris Bulf, and I specialize in couple and family therapy, dedicated to nurturing healthier, more fulfilling relationships. With a warm and compassionate approach, I provide a safe space for my clients to explore their dynamics, strengthen communication, and foster deeper connections. I’ve been working in the field since 2022 and have worked with individuals, families and their children, as well as couples.

It is my belief that everyone deserves the privilege of living their best life as their most authentic self! I work with all people; adolescents into adulthood to help understand the root cause of the issue. I am an affirming therapist welcoming all people where they are in their lives at this moment.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, my goal is to make therapy a rewarding process that allows individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Oftentimes, people struggle to make decisions about their future, cope with a loss, question their identity, or feel conflicted in their closest relationships. Others grapple with ongoing difficulties, such as recurring depression and anxiety, that overwhelm and impair their ability to engage in their everyday life in a manageable way. As a therapist at a variety of school and wilderness therapy settings, I have been working with adolescents and young adults for over 10 years now. I recognize the unique challenges teenagers are faced with today and how to connect with them in a meaningful way. I also realize that starting therapy for the first time can be a daunting experience for anyone. Taking the first step to get help is often the most difficult. That's why it's my priority to make sure new clients are greeted with empathy, they feel heard and as though they're walking into a comfortable, non-judgmental environment.

I have noticed when clients are able to be kinder and more accepting of their own journey, when they're able to look at and respond to themselves, they would to their best friend in the same situation. My approach to therapy is meeting the client where they are at and making a personalized plan to minimize feelings of overwhelmedness to help them accomplish their goals. My therapeutic style is approachable, collaborative, and creative. I incorporate art, music, movement, and other imaginative exercises in my practice, empowering my clients.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 12 years of experience. After graduating with my PhD, I changed my focus from research and teaching to direct clinical work in response to the pandemic. I’m also the owner of Northside Clinical Psychologists. I provide individual psychotherapy and couples therapy for a variety of different relationship configurations. I also conduct psycho-educational and diagnostic assessments for adults and teens. I specialize in depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and relationship issues. I have extensive training in ERP (Exposure Response Prevention), CPT, CBT, DBT, ACT, family interventions, and IPT.

As a therapist, it is my goal to help clients develop a deeper understanding of their experiences, beliefs, and emotions, so that they might live more full and authentic lives. Since each of us faces unique challenges and obstacles on our path towards change, I approach therapy as a collaborative, nonjudgmental process in which we will co-create a space where we can be thoughtful, open, and curious about what is shared.

I primarily work with young children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing difficulties in school/work, social and family relationships, with self-esteem, focus, regulation, grief, divorce, trauma, depression, anxiety and challenging life circumstances. My approach is insight-oriented, psychodynamic, and relationship-based. I provide play and talk therapy for children and traditional talk-therapy for adults. Additionally, I provide reflective supervision and consultation for practitioners and trainees.
