And if our lives so far haven’t been particularly rosy… experiences from our pasts can make our emotions overwhelming and unpredictable, and we can feel out of control. They can keep us from forming close and healthy relationships, leaving us isolated and alone. I provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults who have experienced adversity in their lives. I provide treatment for traumas and stressors that we sometimes experience growing up including household dysfunction, emotional and physical neglect, abuse, and generational trauma.

Often a question asked prior to counseling is, am I thriving or simply surviving? Individuals question their life path and need help to figure out where to start exploring. We work together to identify strengths, areas of growth, and both are used to help cultivate a fulfilling life experience. Clients may feel there is a mismatch between their head and hearts so we also work to connect them which in-turn causes less uncertainty and confusion in life choices.

I am a trans-genderqueer femme, disabled radical activist & social worker. I practice trauma-focused feminist therapy exclusively for trans youth & young adults ages 13-25. I provide healthcare letters for all ages, youth and adults, in one 30 min session. My specialties surround gender & sexuality, & trauma survivors experiencing depression, bipolar, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, disability, chronic pain, multiples/alters, dissociation, sexual assault, & histories with abuse & violence. I am body, sex, & kink positive, poly-inclusive, value accountability, & recognize the intersectional impact of systematic oppression.

Jess invites those in helping professions to consider therapy as well, as she knows firsthand how workplace trauma and compassion fatigue can hijack your relationships, your self-esteem, and overall health. Jess wants you to improve the way you care for yourself while you care for others.
